Just noticed that the site had been redesigned, explains the lack of memory leak I suppose.

By any chance, was it a site that performed auto updates before?
Sundown can tell you that the sports sites like espn that updated play-by-play of football games etc.from a user selectable interval (15-30-60 seconds) were the most obvious culprits in the past.

There is a classic version of it at: http://classic.wunderground.com But i have not tested if this one still cause leaking issues.
Edit: just gave it a try on 3.30 and it seems to still eat up memory pretty fast on my system.Last edited by Tomas on 13-Feb-2011 at 03:04 PM.

Regarding site catalyst and an old quote of yours from AW:
Quote:
One of the functions in it seems to go into an infinite loop, and consume all memory.Fortunatly you can avoid this function by spoofing as MSIE > 5 . |
Any possible connection to OWB issues?

Sorry you misunderstood me. I've read the threads. But we have webkit, OWB, potential file conflicts, etc. to look at for cause. By having a link we could all use, I thought we could eliminate one possible area of cause.

Yeah i overreacted a tad. :P Had a rough day, so a bit short tempered today. But anyways.. I am no expert but in that thread i think they came to the conclusion that it was a bug with that specific webkit version it uses, as apparently older and newer versions did not have this issue with the same sites. |

Have tried the classic version now and still no memory drop. This is with OWB 3.31. _________________ If your nose runs and your feet smell, you're upside down. |

Spoke too soon I think. Seems to be a lot less memory available now.

Yeah.. It dosent always drop immediately. But seems to leak pretty fast if you browse through different pages on that site. |

It's a strange one in that it doesn't seem to be consistant.

| Hmm guess what I see in the OS4Depot upload queue...
Hmm readme file indicates its an update to the existing build...
Lol, how long does it actually take to get out of the upload queue? :o Last edited by djrikki on 14-Feb-2011 at 08:11 PM. Last edited by djrikki on 14-Feb-2011 at 08:10 PM.

| Hi all,
If have been asked to post this here... So... here it goes....
OWB 3.31 (also the older 3.30) seems to consume al my RAM (I have 512 Mb, with about 300 free) When I have lots of tabs open my RAM declines to zero, and after I close these tabs, almost nothing gets free'd.
Right now I only have 28 Mb left. Only One tab open. Also I have Simplemail running, but thats it.
Weird... Does any of this sounds familiar ?
Thanks
Martin

Sure! Every now and again, which is annoyingly anyway, I have to reboot the computer as it is locked solid. Sometimes up to 5 or 6 times an hour. Only occurs though when OWB is running, which is nearly always.

What happens when you close the browser down?

That sounds quite extreme. Are any particular sites in use when this happens?

No RAM returning....
edit: Just checked to be sure, I was wrong. I got about 200 Mb back, but still missing about an hundred.
That is after shutting down OWB. Closing TABs doesnt help.
On a side note... How much RAM does OS4 suppose to use at startup ? I only have about 370 out of 512.

That's not good. Have seen the memory leakage problem on my own system. The memory does return on closing the tabs though.
The memory available after boot sounds similar to my own set up.
