| @all mui-owb progres:
-- aboutbox.mcc class almost done by Thore, and its already works (just little neances to fix). So now among with working "about" window, we have aos4 native implementation of AboutBox class.
-- Deniil found the problems with non working favicons in url-history and non-working gauge in dl-window. Check few small screens by Deniil:
urlhistory dlwindow

| Wow, coming along nicely and with great status reports. Good developments. The real problem that concerns me is its dependecies on os4 update3 which will come who the heck knows when?? :(

We still have bugs, and still its all not ready, and for us better to not have update3 while we not finish everything :)_________________ Join us to improve dopus5! zerohero's mirror of os4/os3 crosscompiler suites |

when update 3 is ready for release, they will announce it, and people can download it.
i fail to see how that process is hurting anyone. _________________

Did you even try to think about it for one moment? Or are you just a blind fanboy? if you fail to see why I 'm sure not going to be able to teach you why...
For instance i'm scraed to buy os 4 update 2 for my peg because what if the next version comes out and I have to pay more?? Last edited by realize on 27-Mar-2011 at 10:35 PM.

What?
You don’t pay for updates, you only pay for full versions, updates equal service packs.
AmigaOS4.0 prelease costs money.
OS4.0 update 1 free OS4.0 update 2 free OS4.0 update 3 free OS4.0 update 4 free OS4.0 final update free OS4.0 july update free
AmigaOS4.1 costs money
OS4.1 update 1 free OS4.1 update 2 free OS4.1 update 3 free
To download updates, you need to register your copy of AmigaOS at Hyperion. Last edited by NutsAboutAmiga on 27-Mar-2011 at 11:15 PM.

So taking your old list as reference:
Quote:
1. BitmapImages by some reassons not works when we use List (maybe we use it wrong in terms of mui3.9, need to investigate), and because of its we not have :
- favicons in history-panel and history-of-urls - gauge in download manager.
Need to invistigate, and make workorounds in code, or add stuff to our List (depens what will be easy way). |
DONE
Quote:
2. Context menu by RMB mostly works everythere, but at one-two windowse not (very small bug, and windowses are not so important, but still, to make all perfect need to fix). |
TO DO
Quote:
3. need to fix "curl library port". I build latest version few days ago without threading/tls and all the wrong stuff, but still, need to do some manual work, to make "file://" protocol works with amiga pathes, which will fixes local usage of files, drag and drop of local file to OWB and related stuff. |
TO DO
Quote:
4. "About" window show nothing (use mui4 about class, need a bit rewrite). Easy, but should be done as well. |
DONE
Quote:
5. Iconify not works (i.e. works, but wrong, need to fix). Should be easy as well, but still need to fix. |
DONE
Quote:
6. Some crash in some place on bubble-helps. Not big deal of course, can be disabled at all, but, for sure better to found why and which (better and for our mui, and for port at all). |
TO DO
Quote:
7. Some random lockups - the heavy problem and the most important problem about which we talk on last 5 pages here: we will leave it to the final end, when all the other will works and only that will be last bug to fix (just to avoid any problems related to "because of that bugs which we not fix before, we have also side-effect bug which unpossible to fix before main one not fixed"). |
TO DO (HUGE ISSUE)
So more or less only points 2, 3. 6 and 7 remain, well 32 Bit mouse pointer support should be added into the list too along with NPAPI aniway and some cosmetic here and there but ...
Point 7 is the most ####ing issue for sure, all the other points are progressed fast enough, thanks guys !_________________ BACK FOR THE FUTURE

'if i dont know you arnt going to tell me?' oh dear...
call me names all you want, but if it works for apple giving people weeks notice for new iProducts i again fail to see whats wrong
as to you feeling worried about a new product coming out that you have to pay for, its not as bad as apple, as OS4.1 was announced 2.5 years ago (approx), and both 'free' updates were released within the last 14 months.
but then its your money as you can chose to stick or twist.
p.s.
can i be a fanboy by not owning ppc hardware and os4? or can i just be 'me' and point out something with no agenda, and not be a part of any 'camp'.
sorry everyone i wont reply again, so as to keep the thread on track Last edited by Derfs on 27-Mar-2011 at 11:38 PM.

I have only paid once for AOS4.1 and never paid for an update and I have downloaded 2 updates since purchasing a AOS4.1 last year.
So lets see:
Last year I purchased AOS4.1
Then I downloaded free of any charge AOS4.1 update 1
Then I downloaded again free of any charge AOS4.1 update 2
And yes I will be able to download yet again free of any charge AOS4.1 update 3
So when it is installed on my Pegasos 2 I will be running AmigaOS 4.1 update 3 having only paid once for it!
So do not fear purchasing AmigaOS 4.1 cause you too can download once you have registered your purchase at Hyperions website oh and by the way registration is also FREE, you then too can download update 1 and update 2 and update 3 FREEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Hope this clears things up for you._________________

Yeah, that what need to do for now:
1. Context menu by RMB mostly works everythere, but at one-two windowse not (very small bug, and windowses are not so important, but still, to make all perfect need to fix).
2. need to fix "curl library port". I build latest version few days ago without threading/tls and all the wrong stuff, but still, need to do some manual work, to make "file://" protocol works with amiga pathes, which will fixes local usage of files, drag and drop of local file to OWB and related stuff.
3. Some crash in some place on bubble-helps. Not big deal of course, can be disabled at all, but, for sure better to found why and which (better and for our mui, and for port at all).
4. mouse pointers (now just plain cursor all the time)
5. some cosmetic in terms of url-string (when its call url-history, its start to be inactive, and you can't by keys down/up navigate over the list).
+ hardcore random freeze + i know one bug in mui for which we make workoround, but will be cool to fix it as well (if we will normally reproduce it. Not big deal, because very-unnecessary and small, but still). + maybe adding of NPAPI if all other will be fine and works and update3 will not released at this moment.
And then just heavy tests to found another bugs, which still can be present. Like after that and that something will stop to works or kind :)
edit: current screenshot with working aboutbox class and url-history
