No, but I don't understand what you are saying/implying there. Sorry for being incredibly stupid.
You also seem to imply I have some ulterior motive or bias. That can hardly be the case, since I have (unfortunately or not) never bought anything from DiscreetFX, nor do I know anyone involved.
And in fact, up until now, you will find that I have always been publically (and in fact privately) supportive of DiscreetFX. But at some point you have to stop blaming things on "bad luck".Last edited by ChrisH on 04-Aug-2012 at 01:22 PM. Last edited by ChrisH on 04-Aug-2012 at 01:20 PM. It's a long thread to be sure, but I've asked "them" about who they have contacted and given alternative explanations as to why this has happened. I've done that in case it might help in how they -approach- trying to deal with this. I've done more in private.
In the end I've said:

hope you can reach him to get his side of the story. Truly I do. |
If there's a particular statement of mine you take issue with, just post it and ask.

| @ Not The Figments Of My Imagination
Just woke up in the safety & comfort of my padded cell in the Ronnie Raygun Home For The Terminally Bewildered...
It's noisy in here today cos the staff have locked themselves in my cell and one of them has swallowed they key, this was they said because they read all the stuff on the Amiga forums I mentioned about Amigaland and came to the conclusion the only safe place left in the world was the old rubber room...
Happily they had the foresight to bring with them a Rubiks Cube and some chochie biccies and one Amiga with no internet connection, so us sane ones are safe now here in Lalaland away from the uncontrollable lunacy that has infected every corner of Amigaland and won't be coming out again until they clone Jay Miner, reverse time and start all over again...
I've slipped this note under the door (written using me best crayon) so if your reading this then sadly you're one of the infected left outside and there is no hope for you (the cell is full)... sorry...

| @ anyone who actually cares
Now this is really bizarre...
I just logged in to find a PM from Bill P. that lists 12 payments to "Deron" which totals $5237.01...
I've no idea why I was given this info as I never asked for it nor could I care less about how much was allegedly paid to someone...
@ DiscreetFX/ Bill P.
I think you missed what I was basically trying to say here, which is (in my opinion)... You'd have to be crazy to enter into a contract the way you seem to have done (ie: verbally) and pay out money to someone you have no real idea about and let it go all this time without any results...
From what you said in your PM, I now know you understand this and hopefully you'll have learnt a valuable lesson from it all. It's a shame about your loss and a shame the way it was handled publicly but for your own sake don't you think it's time to say sod it and simply move on from the whole affair and just put it down to experience...

You could have said that to him in private, no?
How is posting that "information" helping anyone to "simply move on"? as opposed to generating more pages of posts...

I did say something to him in private...
Simple fact is, I didn't ask for such info and I have NOT printed a single word of his PM here...
All I have mentioned here is a sum of money and an open reply to Bill P. whom also has taken part in this thread. If people want to make things public like this then that's fine by me, just don't expect others to keep quiet about it because you now claim you don't like it...
Let me ask you... as you yourself have taken a very active part in this thread how did any of your posts help here !!!
Don't play the high & mighty with me mate and pretend your a saint in all of this, what I post or say basically has sod all to do with you... so please keep your holier than though opinions to yourself and unless you do then expect the appropriate reply here in public..._________________

My question to you is why do you continue to post here when you have zero interest in Amiga OS4 or any Amiga NG for that matter? Actually you are anti. |
