I see your one of those people who think that the 99% of posts made by sad gits pretending to be me on Moo are actually posted by me...

HANDY TIP: If your going to read the Moo then check the IP addresses I always use the same one and never post from a proxy nor do I use "Americanisms" like "butthurt" or "butthole" in the few posts I do make there...

Of course the "wannabe Franko" numpties who do that fail to realise this or are just too thick to understand that even after I have pointed it out to them but hey, It's nice to know they have a hobby...

@number6 (or is it)

Wow... attempts at sarcasm & humour all in the same day...

It can only mean one of two thing, the real Number 6 has been abducted and replaced by someone or something else or Number 6 has finally gone loopy loo after being trapped in the village all these years...

PS: Don't give up the day job #6...

Oh no there won't! I'll be happy to be your lead deflector. There will not be anyone taking to punching you or you them. AmiWest is a great show and a place to get to know other users peacefully. Once you meet someone face to face and get to know them about 99% of the time you usually like them. The other 1% you can ignore. During my attendances I've never ran into anyone I did not like. I'm fairly sure that you will enjoy the show, Frank. Please think about it.

Guess I'll just have to watch this year video feed again and hope that I can spot some interesting "classic" stuff hiding away in the background behind all the usual bald heads and beer bellies that tend to block the cameras view...

I thought you may be referring to me, but in all the videos I've watched I've never spotted me in any of them. Probably a good thing.

@Moxee

What !!! no nice friendly punch ups... what kind of social gathering is that...

In Scotland it's traditional to have some wee sort of kafuffle be a it a wedding, christening, funeral or even the queue at the post office on pension day (and that's before anyone has had a drink)...

If my grannie were still alive I'd bring her along as she'd make Mike Tyson cry with one of her swift (well, slow motion but stealthy) knees to the groin (the titanium knee cap replacement she had gave it that extra ooomph)...

Can't say I've ever spotted you in any of the live feeds (well not that I know of) but if I see someone buzzing the crowd in a very low flying crop duster then I'm pretty sure it'll be you...

I just want to make sure that you are not arrested for disorderly conduct.

At my dear ole Mother's funeral in 2001 I delivered a big piece of my mind directly toward a brother-in-law we all don't like. I am twice removed from Ireland. Does that count? I've behaved myself since then.

I have flown in a few of them in my younger days when I was learning to fly. Courtesy of my Father's younger brother in Missoula, Montana.

@Moxee

If they did arrest me I'd probably get the chair cos when the coppers arrest you over here at a nice friendly family get together, they usually end up in the brawl too and of course they go in a huff and throw the book at you when you give them a wee black eye or two...

So I reckon in the USA they'll either give you the chair or just shoot you on the spot, if I make it to Amiwest 2013 then maybe we'll all find out the answer...

Yeah! As if they were not throwing fists and enjoying the fray too.

Please do come. I am sure you will enjoy yourself.

Why just today the chief of police here let it be known to a collector of signatures on a petition against the town council that I was just the type he was looking for and pointed him in my direction. Looks like I've made a name for myself around here as a loud mouthed trouble maker who won't sit back and be walked on by pompous, arrogant, small town politicians.

Except for the "loud mouthed" part, you should take the rest of that description as a compliment.

If the discussion about how much fun it is to get in fights in public is satisfied, perhaps we can get this thread back on topic and discuss the 2012 AmiWest Show.

The difference in climates might vapourize him. I'm sure he have some fun as a vapour floating around though.

Keep trying. I did not mean to stop the discussion about getting more people to attend the show, but the discussion about scuffles in pubs did not seem to be getting anyone closer to making up their mind to attend. I might be wrong. Maybe if we offered a chance for a few of the members here to put on some boxing gloves and work out some of their past differences, we could get a lot more people to show up just to watch the confrontation.

Any volunteers? (just kidding, please don't bother answering that hypothetical question)

It is a big expense for Franko to come all the way from Scotland to AmiWest, spend 2-3 days, and return home. In this economy I can understand people hanging onto their money. You just don't know what tomorrow will bring.

I suppose I should stop needling Franko about attending. It may be best to work on the citizens of Canada, USA, and Mexico. We do have some AW members in Mexico City who need to start showing up.

Vamos chicos en México, vamos a ver si empiezan a llegar AmiWest.
