Ok I understand. The money invested was (and is) from Ben Hermans.

But what I do not understand (propably because I was "outside" for a long time) what are the goals. What are the ideas for the future to regain at least a little market share?

i dont want to excuse any insulting contributions here, but i think an exposed position like yours should involve being indifferent, beyond reach for such attacks. a celebrity should know how to handle that calm, because it will always happen except you lock yourself off completely. which a situation reminds me somehow of sunset boulevard:

No offense intended on my part, just interesting that Evert Carton would suddenly chip into the discussion.
Interesting background info being discussed so far, don't be put off on my account.

Since you're engaging, would you care to discuss the elephant in the room (netbook) and give some info on what -suddenly- changed. The announced plans were very short-term, so it would be logical to deduce that something must have gone very wrong.

Could you please tell us, what is situation with netbook? Personally I'm not interested, but seems that many of us has interested of it.

Personally I'm very happy with my Sam, it was positive surprice, because there has been lots of talk how power less it is, so I was surpriced how well it can do dayli tasks with it, like web surfing, watching avis, etc. So I'm happy customer of Hyperion Entertaintment.

And I had the idea to form a common platform that is based on open and common sourcecode (libraries, devices and so on) with different desktops (wanderer, Scalos, workbench) on it like in Linux-World with f.e. KDE and Gnome. AROS would offer the perfect infrastructure. What do you think of this or would you say it is impossible?

even myself i think you expect too much here. the os4 issues themselves have not been clarified, so lets first things be first. i wouldnt drag aros into the discussion at this point.
