As I started the actual thread I am sad . It has always linked to Trevor's Blog updates since day one. |
It did occur to me later on after looking back at this thread that is had been somewhat spoiled by tonights nonsense...
So I apologise to you for my part in that and won't even bother trying to justify it or giving you excuses... sorry...
Hopefully a mod will edit your thread and move all the off topic nonsense into it's own thread somewhere in the free for all section...
Once again sorry about mucking up what is/ was a perfectly good and interesting thread...
Edited by Mod: It was a joint effort. Most of us can share the credit/blame. 2 more pages to go.... phew!Last edited by Darrin on 03-Apr-2013 at 05:42 PM.

Your answers are not really clever ones.
Your position in not clear and what you are telling us in this thread makes no sense.
The money invested in AmigaOS in the past years was invested in a really bad way.
If you do not agree with that, please tell us what goals Hyperion is following, because it does not fit with the expectations of the user base. _________________ Sometimes we give people a lot of credit just because they're writing nice sentences even if it isn't adding up to much. |

| According to latest AmigaFuture Magazine, x2000 details were supposed to be released 1st of April. It's not good joke that it really was a April fools joke. More fun would have been to really get the info when no one really expected it. _________________ - KimmoK // For freedom, for honor, for AMIGA // // Thing that I should find more time for: CC64 - 64bit Community Computer? |

As has been suggested by wiser voices than mine -- Can we please get back on topic?
If you wish to engage others in bickering, please take it to Free for All in a new thread. Going forward how about we all focus on this, Trevor's Amiga Blog, which is a fun, well-written look behind and around the Amiga scene.
Thank you for your kind cooperation.

| Looks like RadeonHD 2D driver version 0.55 will soon be available for download from the A-eon website for registered users. The 0.54 Radeon.chip file has to be replaced by the 0.55 version so I hope that it is soon.

Well, Thank you. That's kind from you.
Now, I have to explain, that I know, what I am talking about.
The point is, I am a user, a customer and a developer and if I write down some things you do not believe - it's absolutely ok - I do not have anything to lose.
And I do not have any problem to tell anybody who I am: My name is Roberto, living in Switzerland. If you want to have my Full name / address or mobile-number for any reasons, no problem. Just make a PM.
But there is a difference, when someone from a company, like in this case Hyperion, is writing things in the way they did. They should know how a forum works and that not everybody shares their opinion.
They invested their money in a certain way and they are absolutely free to do so. But I have the feeling, that things didn't go well. I don't know what they wanted to reach and somehow it's sad, they did not communicate with the community in an other way.
What do they have to lose any more? Why is AmigaOS still not Open Source? Why are there only a few developers working on it? The best programmers from Vietnam are not so expensive, you know?
They never answered these question. I never saw any plans, where they wanted to go, why they are still on PPC or what market they are focusing.
Is it so hard to tell us, what they have in mind? Just let us understand, what they want to to with AmigaOS. Last edited by Darrin on 03-Apr-2013 at 05:44 PM.

I as a member of the Belgian Amiga Club remember you as a nice man who made some time to visit us at our meetings.
I thank you in the name of the community for what you have done to keep AmigaOS4 alive, it sure was not for nothing.
Thanks.
