| Hi All,
I have updated my blog this weekend covering the build and setup of my new Sam 460CR system, which I bought while waiting for my X1000 to be fixed (which is with Varisys at the moment).
I also setup my A4000D while waiting for it to arrive - the X1000 sure leaves a big hole since it stopped working, and I miss not having it to use. The Sam 460 goes someway to helping with that while waiting for the X1000 to be fixed.
Link is here:
http://amigax1000.blogspot.com.au/2015/05/my-sam-460cr-has-arrived.html
I hope you enjoy it!

Catcha, Epsilon

so basically you bought a sam system to replace your x1k while its going to be fixed or not due to simple user mistake and it occurs the most fun you have got from a genuine a4k while attempting to set up the interim os4 system. sigh!! |

ah? so it ia some exclusive attitude, while replacing the zorro cards and looking at the logs? actually this would be something future proof.. if there is anything.
edit: not sure what it was i was going to tell yesterday.. just leave it here in case i may ever come up with an explanation.. Last edited by wawa on 04-May-2015 at 08:55 AM.

Not surprised the build took so long, you must have spent several hours just picking up/putting down the camera. I admire your discipline: I tend to get lost in the fun of it, like a kid opening a Christmas present, and only at the end think "wish I'd taken some pics..." "I have found already that I have to unplug/replug the keyboard"
As you have the zTools, you can try to add SysMon_USBRecycle in your WBStartup. It was made specifically for this SAM well known issue. You will find it in the latest zTools package. _________________ http://apps.amistore.net/zTools |

Will be interesting to see what the speed difference is between the two. (X1000 and the 460CR)
Fantastic blog report as always - great pictures. Last edited by -Sam- on 04-May-2015 at 09:12 AM.

Thanks for this suggestion - glad to see it is a known issue and there is a fix! I will give it a go!
@boot_wb
Certainly does take time to take photos of everything - but taking photos as I go is not so bad once you get used to it.
It has the dual benefit of helping others and me too when I forget how I got something working later on!
@all
Thanks as always for the kind feedback!

You mean to say that will get here faster and be ready for use before your X1000 comes back? Wow! |

I can see the hurry. Your PC looks like junk and is insulting your A500. The effect is corrosive. Break it now and trash it outside before it's too late. Intel Outside. Where it belongs. |

I have absolutely no idea why the mods try to give this disease a fair chance here.
Not to mention that our AmigaOne's will outlast his scrapyard PC for many years, like my 400 Euro XE is still supported and relevant unlike his previous PC.
@Epsilon
Absolutely lovely photo's mate!
Those Sam photo's would be a great fit for the Sam 460 Wikipedia article or even be qualified for Acube's uses or AmigaOS.net ! Last edited by Trewq on 04-May-2015 at 03:21 PM.
