More fallout and accusations, this time from @LIKEGOLD, who admitted prior he was the equivalent of a paid "shill" [1] for WRIT:
Quote:
If you need more info [proof of insider trading] I personally have e-mails to prove that fact. These two need to go to JAIL!! |
Source
Basically when every supporter can be traced to being "paid" and every negative/truthful poster are "the investors", you have a problem. Perhaps denial of problems will work out for them, as it does for most people. (evil grin)
[1]shill: an accomplice of a hawker, gambler, or swindler who acts as an enthusiastic customer to entice or encourage others.

Busy day....
After site moderator posted that posts were being deleted (I've seen gaps as large as 9 missing posts recently), HIS post about the deletions was deleted. When asked to repeat what was removed, then the site moderator reported he has been removed as a moderator.
Quote:
My moderator status has been revoked and I can't see what's been deleted any more. If this doesn't prove there is something iffy going on I don't know what will. |
I don't expect ^^ that one to be there long either.

Wow, I hadn't checked in on that train wreck for a while. 0.0024 per share! How low can it go before they run out of decimal places?
I see there are no active moderators now, so I guess even QualityStocks isn't getting paid to hype it up. _________________ AmigaOne X1000, A4000(T), A3000, A2000, A1200(T), A1200, A500, CD32, Minimig+ARM, FPGA Arcade, Chameleon64, C-One, C128, C128D, C64C, C64, VIC-20, CBM 8032, CBM4032, Efika, Ultimate64 |

I haven't really been following this thread or Amiga Inc. either. Is this holding company containing what remains of Amiga Inc.? Or just the Amiga Games spinoff?

Simplified q/a about the company formation
In case the q/a isn't clear about this, Amiga Inc. still exists as a seperate entity.

Interesting post by Patrick Roberts/Amiga Games Inc.:
It includes a categorical denial that they require a license from Cloanto, amongst other things.
Source
Now if he could just explain why the game listings have vanished from AGI/RII...
The Amiga Inc. end of Blackberry games vanishing was known well ahead of time as to cause of course.

Interesting that he would only now talk about this after the stocks have plummeted this far. His reference to not needing any licenses for emulation are interesting. Winder how they will get around Amiga emulation. Maybe a CUSA approach by using the AROS Kickstart replacement? _________________ My personal blog - CritAnime.com

So much of management speak is semantics, even over there.
The direct question to ask Mr. Roberts would be not "if" they feel they need this license, but rather did they attempt to procure such a license.
On the emulation he points to instead of the license, keep in mind "Fleecy's World" is claiming: Quote:
Platform: Amiga Anywhere 2 |

Just noticed after a recent BB10 update, the Amazon store is now available featuring various 'emulated Amiga version' of Cinemaware titles. The game-in-emulator apps appear to be published by Cinemaware themselves.
Not aware of any Cinemaware/Cloanto agreement, although I haven't followed that closely, so may be related. Last edited by Boot_WB on 12-Apr-2015 at 09:39 PM.

Here's an "ouch" followup to my post #270 this page:
Patrick Roberts:
Quote:
AGI/RII never sold any products for the Blackberry Playbook. Amiga Inc did not sell that line of business to WRIT. I think I've seen that mentioned a couple of times in this forum, and it was in one of the early interviews- IIRC Retro Gamer Magazine. |
Poster responding:
Quote:
Oops, lie much? Or did you just misspeak?
http://labusinessjournal.com/news/2013/jul/09/l-entertainment-company-bring-back-classic-video-g/
UPDATE:
Amiga Games Inc. on Wednesday announced that it will publish more than 65 classic Amiga titles on BlackBerry phones and tablets.
The company has published 44 titles for BlackBerry devices since September last year. The new titles will be available through the BlackBerry World digital storefront for BlackBerry Q10 and Z10 smartphones and the PlayBook tablet.
Amiga Games works with Amiga Inc., which owns the Amiga trademark, to license these games.
"We"re delighted to see Amiga Games partake in the distribution of additional Amiga titles on BlackBerry platforms," Eric Mitchell, chief executive of Writers' Group, said in a statement on Wednesday. "Gamers will be able to pull up any of their favorite classic Amiga titles and play each day during their commute or coffee break. We look forward to supporting AGI with the necessary resources to distribute all of their most popular games through BlackBerry World in the near future." |
Source
The entire response is an "ouch" actually...
And it kinda gets worse:

Oh dear lord. The phrase "hoist with his own petard" springs to mind.
You'd think they'd be good at this by now, and not have made such a basic error as specifying which Amiga (-Inc/-Games Inc) they were referring to. _________________ Troll - n., A disenfranchised former potential customer who remains interested enough to stay informed and express critical opinions. opp., the vast majority who voted silently with their feet. |

It's getting worse as Patrick Roberts offers his version of the truth.
Quote:
I'm not part of WRIT/AGI/RII. |
erm, but the webpage he posts this on with his picture outlining "Leadership" says:
Quote:
Patrick Roberts - Head of Gaming Products, Retro Infinity and Amiga Games |

Will someone give this poor fellow a link to Lewis Black explaining what delusional means...

It's unfortunate you didn't understand this all the times you've posted Amiga Inc news here, especially negative Amiga Inc news, as it sounded like you were portraying the two businesses as fundamentally connected, as if somehow bad things happening to Amiga Inc meant those bad things effected WRIT and Amiga Games Inc. |

And WRIT's own website describes him as President and COO of (RII and AGI).
