I also used it a lot. I'm registered owner of FinalOffice 97. But since the orthography reform of the German language in 2006 it is unusable for official tasks. In order to get me using my Amiga with FinalWriter for all my daily writig jobs again it MUST come with an updated German spellchecker, as well as with .docx-compability. IIRC, FinalOffice 97 I roughly paid 100 DM back then, which equals to 50€. But that was for FinalWriter, FinalCalc and FinalData together._________________ Ciao

Yeah, an AmigaOS version would be a system seller if it included DocX functionality.

Yes - but not just FinalWriter - update the entire Office bundle! FinalCalc should be able to read/Write excel format and FinalData sould be sql compatible! I would gladly pay 100 again - this time in € - for the updated office bundle (FinalOffice)!_________________ Ciao

I would only do that with non-sensible documents. But I'm too lazy to switch forth and back and so I use WPs for all my docs - no matter if sensible or not... _________________ Ciao

Are You sure it will be Final Writer 2015 and not Final Writer 2016?

As we're talking Amiga here, it might actually come close to Zager&Evans song "In the Year 2525..." _________________ Ciao

Ok, I just don't use word processors and obscure binary document formats at all for sensible data, that goes in well encrypted text files. I only ever used word processors as last stop before a printer, or PDF. For creating nice looking documents, I have better programs on my phone these days. _________________ B5D6A1D019D5D45BCC56F4782AC220D8B3E2A6CC |

Let's keep provoking terminills so that he continues to post screenshots and updates
As for the original question: I'm very happy to see this, Final* were my favourites products above Digita's, so thank you. I'll be happy with proper rtg and modern fonts support to begin with Once it's stable i hope the gui gets some overhaul/modernization too.

This looks nice, could be sold if RTF + 24 Bit GFX works like intended.

Yes, RTF is an important Format, I would like to have a bit more MSOffice and OpenOfice in the future, but first I would like to see all the thing, that used to be available under FW97 with some 24Bit RTG support.

Give Terminills and his crew some time to get new features into FW. It's not like the old days with multiple full time coders working 40+ hours a week. I am very impressed on how much the FW developer crew has accomplished in such a short period of time.

| Good progress, yeehh
I don't have it at hand so i have to ask a dumb question: did FW load the images via datatypes or via internal custom functions?
Just out of curiosity: is Kalamatee involved in the job also (judging from the screenshots' links)?
