Yep, looks like the Moo crazies are now joining up here since their own site is no more. My guess is that WhatsIsName is Franko making a return. Same mannerisms, same using smileys at the end of most sentences to try to put a thin veil of friendliness and banter over the sh1t-stirring and skewed, petty and dismissive arguments he seemed so fond of.

Of course I could be totally wrong, but the similarities are striking. But hey ho, I guess the crazies need somewhere to post now that they're homeless. After all, it is their human right, isn't it?

The problem here is that Trewq opened a thread trying to support his vision of what can be classified as "Amiga", but technically speaking he offered the chance to people like Hillbillylitre and WhatsIsName to confute his position with a lot of facts that they reported.

And facts cannot be eclipsed only by labeling the two guys as "trolls": that's the easy way for people which simply don't like what was written and prefer to "fight" facts with the usual "Ad hominem" attack.

In the end, what Trewq obtained is that any device which can run the Amiga o.s. and/or Amiga software can be called "Amiga"...

Simple fact of the matter is the term "amiga" has become a parallel to "unix".
No, the offshoots aren't Amiga's any more, but believe it or not, this isn't a revelation. We all know this, so repeating it over and over isn't going to suddenly make anyone think, " damn, I've been conned". It may not be a pronoun, but amiga users, be it OS4, MorphOS, AROS, Draco or amithlon still enjoy their systems and are equally amiga.
Like it or not this is the evolution of the platform.

Now I do understand that those with too much free time will once again play the repeato-semantics game, but such is life. People are entitled to waste their time and effort if they like, even if they're basically repeating things solely for their own benefit.

Personally, I want to see the semantics applied to a breville....
