@Skateman

ChromeOS is terrible... FriendUp looks alright - had a play with their demo... put it full screen, but it still felt a bit like it was running in a browser.

I need to read up on it

** Edit **

Ugghh... its based around a blockchain... anything blockchain rings my alarm bell. It's an ICO... ICO's are pretty much all smoke and mirrors.

The underlying OS can be made hidden.

But what would be the point of that? I really don't see the advantage of having a system as Friend Up.

@Yssing

I suppose FriendUp itself could be installed locally as the main OS... similar to how a chromebook works. It has firmware running linux for local device drivers etc.

WOW!

This is way better than ChromeOS

the 'Amiga Documents' site has now proven to me personaly that it has no intent of being an objective site with objective information. A real pity.

Well, something I don't think most people are aware of:

The twitter does have threads at times. I'll post his followup, which should hopefully make you feel a bit better? about things.

The first-person narrative is not me writing this. My role was to exchange drafts and clarify some names. I will add commentary, including people who confirmed the story, and possibly slight revision once it's on the actual Amiga Documents page.

Since absolutely no one would publically stand up to confirm any part of the story whatsoever, the notes were never moved to the Amiga Documents website.

@thread

Apparently there has been more reporting about the Neuss show notes since my last comment:

from a website which had announced closing down and then returned

and

Obligement

Any other links or new sources of the recounting of events?
