Plain english summary. If you need the direct links they have been posted in this and other threads on the topic.
Basically, the trademark filings at uspto by Hyperion Entertianment for "AmigaOS" and "AmigaOne" were "suspended" continually. They got reviewed for status changes and when no change had occurred new "suspension letters" were issued to indicate the situation had not changed.
More recently uspto remarked that if and when the "Amiga" mark became registered there was a chance/likelihood that Hyperion's applied for marks for "AmigaOS" and "AmigaOne" might change status due to confusion with the registration of the "Amiga" mark, now registered with certificate issued to Amiga Corporation.
Since that time there was another review required and the info above was sent to the uspto attorney for review, to see if indeed a change needed to be recorded.
Yesterday this occurred through response by uspto:
SECTION 2(d) PARTIAL REFUSAL – LIKELIHOOD OF CONFUSION (for the uspto AmigaOS filing)
Also the following appeared yesterday in regard to the Hyperion's uspto filing for "AmigaOne": approved for publication-principal register
Normally this would then get published with a stated opposition period...soon.
If anyone intends to state what this all means, please at minimum refer to the specific classes mentioned in the doc, since this is stated to be a partial refusal.

It is still my understanding as I stated prior page of this thread that the lawsuits still take precedence to any decisions made at the uspto about trademarks.
Given that a week ago Hyperion's attorneys filed 2 new motions to further delay the court, which already has a pile of unanswered motions...
I'm still going to wait for the court rulings on all of the motions.
Edit: for accuracy sake changed Hyperion to Hyperion's attorneys
