I guess a new 3.2 Kickstart Rom and fresh CF card install of AmigaOS3.2 might be a great way to spruce up an old A1200 with a Raptor Accelerator? _________________ "Art challenges technology. Technology inspires the art." John Lasseter, Co-Founder of Pixar Animation Studios |

I only wish that this had been released in 2000/1 with the 080 as a real chip (not FPGA) on new hardware/accelerators. We might have limped on in the pseudo mainstream a bit longer _________________ "Art challenges technology. Technology inspires the art." John Lasseter, Co-Founder of Pixar Animation Studios |

Yeah, but you can’t find any links to buy the CD version. As normal it’s been launched but everything is on backorder (no shoe box in the meantime though ) except the CD version which has no preorder options that I can find. The only people talking right now are the developers who announce, “we’re not sales people”! I guess it would have been too much for Hyperion to make sure the resellers were ready to actually sell product before launching? Last edited by BigD on 15-May-2021 at 12:09 AM.

This is brilliant news. 36 years of support. That is pretty amazing. What is the most powerful browser available now for 68k?
|
The most modern browser for the 68k Amiga is NetSurf which uses Reaction, a new feature added to AmigaOS 3.2. It would be interesting to hear how well NetSurf works with AmigaOS 3.2 Reaction as development would be easier with better compatibility to the AmigaOS 4 Reaction.

Is the court case over then if they are allowed to release this ? |
No. The Amiga parties tried but failed to get an injunction to stop Hyperion from selling some products which they believe violated the 2009 settlement agreement. In my interpretation of the 2009 settlement agreement, the wording of the contract allows a 68k AmigaOS to be developed and distributed by Hyperion, at least until the agreement is found to be breached or is voided in court.

Answered prayers are normally from circumstances changing, through God speaking through Bible verses or God-incidences that are more than just coincidences and through other Christians, rather than an audible answer (though that happens on occasion, I guess if the person is not listening to the other ways God answers ).
Anyway, despite your off topic contribution there’s still no obvious way to buy/pre-order the AmigaOS 3.2 CD-Rom. Most of the dealer links don’t even link to the product as it isn’t even listed yet! RetroPassion is the exception but they don’t offer the CD just ADFs! Last edited by BigD on 15-May-2021 at 12:28 PM.

Wow, finally one dealer that actually lists the CD-Rom! It’s still a preorder but better than nothing.

I just spent the last 3 hours answering dealer inquiries. Shipping to all over the world. Last edited by Hyperion-Director on 15-May-2021 at 08:18 PM.

Great! Get that in place before you inform your customers next time and I won’t have to spend 3 hours finding the only reseller that was promising to stock the CD version! _________________ "Art challenges technology.
