Friend Karlos, some of us, heed a higher call.
My particular call, manifests itself in making sure that every 20th posts reminds us all of the
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ZORRAM
Just as Number6's call is to make us aware of all kind of court documents. RobertB's is to keep us up to date with Commodore 64 greybeards playdates. Matthey's is to spew an unordered amount of tiny numbers and stats. BigD's is to make himself ridiculous with pathetically bigot worldviews. The late Templario's was to shamelessly plug cringeworthy porn disguised as "amiga games".
What's yours, friend Karlos?
Warmly, Mega. _________________ I HAVE ABS OF STEEL -- CAN YOU SEE ME? CAN YOU HEAR ME? OK FOR WORK |

Good, common sense prevails for once. Generally though the liberal 'progressiveness' on this issue is crazy! Again while we must love and empathise with the individuals struggling with affirming their biological sex, the trans-agenda DOES want us to mutilate children pre-puberty when 80% will lose any transgender feelings post-puberty and struggle to transition back with inverted penises and other horrors!
Would we treat any other body dysphoria physically rather than mentally? Would a surgeon for instance perform liposuction on an underweight anerexic child in order that they become as thin as their brain perceives they should be? No, because there is no over-ruling worldview/agenda that trumps common sense regarding anerexia! _________________ "Art challenges technology. Technology inspires the art." I suspect the trust behind Tavistock is bracing itself for a ton of litigation. It seems concerns from staff and parents alike went ignored for years. _________________ Doing stupid things for fun... |

I don't believe that most of parents, or at all, are trans. The parents are who have the final say in the matter, so how exactly do you pinpoint at trans for this is beyond my understanding.

Have you read the report, or any excepts of it, on the Tavistock centre? There are several factors to be aware of:
1. Staff feeling under pressure to be "unquestioningly affirming". This meant that rather than even trying to see if there were any other reasons for the presentation of gender dysphoria in children, they were affirmed and things were taken from there.
2. Children were placed on puberty blocking drugs after as few as just one consultation.
3. Concerns of staff and parents alike were ignored. Repeatedly.
4. The above situation persisted for years.
It's obvious that (1) is a key catalyst for (2). Under pressure from whom and for what reason? That's what needs to be investigated. _________________ Doing stupid things for fun... |

* Note only seasoned islamophobes use the spelling "Koran" these days |
That's plainly wrong. Koran is NOT considered this way. It's simply an older term: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quran "also romanized Qur'an or Koran" "Millions and millions" of Muslims "refer to the Koran daily to explain their actions and to justify their aspirations" "According to Christoph Luxenberg (in The Syro-Aramaic Reading of the Koran) the Quran's language was similar to the Syriac language.[189]" "The form Alcoran (and its variants) was usual before the 19th century when it became obsolete.[5][6] The form Koran was most predominant from the second half of the 18th century till the 1980s, when it has been superseded by either Qur'an or Quran.[6][7][8][9] Other transliterations include al-Coran, Coran, Kuran and al-Qur'an. The adjectives vary as well and include Koranic, Quranic and Qur'anic (sometimes in lowercase)"
Any source for claiming that Koran is (only) used by "islamophobes"? Because there's absolutely no evidence of that, also on dictionaries: https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/Koran https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/koran?q=the-koran https://www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/english/koran https://www.dictionary.com/browse/koran and encyclopedia: https://www.britannica.com/topic/Quran "also spelled Quran and Koran" Quote:

I think you're completely confused here.
kolla is likely an atheist, so he just expressed/expresses critics on anything related to religions, and about ANY religion.
I'm atheist, so I've very similar positions and critics.
BTW criticizing something about religion and/or people which are doing some religious practices does NOT mean that you're against those people. This is clearly a logical fallacy.
Example: I (also) criticize circumcision but this doesn't make me an antisemite or islamophobe.

I've to give you very bad news: the 10 commandments... aren't 10.
I think that you had no chance to open the book and read it, right?
Going back to the topic, I'm against the political correctness that is f*cking the society in the last years.
I'm also against letting children change sex so easily, especially in early ages. |

It's possibly lost in translation but I'm just yanking kolla's chains. I'm pretty sure he realises it.
More interestingly though, he hasn't denied any of it either, lol...

Considered by whom, though? The transliteration "Qur'an" is clearly preferred in English print Islamic literature today. Conversely, the transliteration "Koran" is preferred in every English print tabloid news article, especially those with a negative view to present. This has resulted in the perception among many Muslims that "Koran" is the islamophobes preferred transliteration.
Of the two alternatives, if you listen to the native Arabic pronunciation of the word, I'd have to say the Q based version is closer.

True. But he's used to cut many stuff and don't reply. Maybe he could better clarify it (IF he replies ). Quote:

I think that those are just personal feelings.
I've talked several times with some friends and colleagues which are muslims and they never complained when I've used Koran. Quote:

I suppose it depends on how he went about it. If he labelled his mod "God hates flags" and had a readme full of hatr speech, then I can see how the site may be uncomfortable with it. But all he did was to swap them out for an existing asset in the game. _________________ Doing stupid things for fun... |

| @Insomniac/Trigger Happy Mod Banning Websites
Here's guessing that Insomniac Games wouldn't dare including an actual hard hitting political statement in their games such as a street adorned with the Taiwan flag or a Free Tibet parade! Heck at this point a new Red Alert C&C should be released with a Ukranian time travel plot leading to the usurping of Russia's dominance of the USSR! But we are still getting proud of what people like to do with their genitalia!! How about a Christian fish flag while your at it Insomniac to show true diversity? Oh that's right just like in Animal Farm, "some are more equal than others!" Last edited by BigD on 24-Aug-2022 at 09:55 PM. Last edited by BigD on 24-Aug-2022 at 09:54 PM.
