ok. Your size is within the limits.
The xoops error message, like all error messages, is rather generic.

Do you have "send referrer header" checked in browser?
Look at things like that next.

@number6

Well I e-mailed it myself, loaded it on (shudder) Windows XP and Opera, and, it goes in first time...

Hmmm...

Problem solved, but I'm still at a loss to how...

@DaveyD

G'day Davey D,
I would just like to report problems When using pda.amigaworld.net.(now that I am in front of a terminal )
I am using a utms mobile (LG TU550) running opera mini v4 on a 3g enabled network in Australia.
The main issue atm is when i am reading a thread and would like to add my two cents, The relpy button seems to be missing at the end of every post.
The only way to circumvent this (as you see on the website and bugs list) is to create a new topic(this button is present)
This really isnt feasable.
Could I please ask you to look into this? Ta,
Daniel.

@spotUP

That is not a bug. It is how the HTML parser handles them, since they are used for HTML tags, so it removes them.

The only way around that is to use < and >

@_Steve_

Or a space before and after the < and > . Otherwise, as you said, it treats it as a tag to be parsed.

No website error, only SpotUp error

@spotUP

But phpBB isn't xoops

It is possible to allow the <object> tag to be used (xoops allows it's use), we just have it disabled at the moment.

Hi all,
wanted to signal that it seems the Reply or Quote function on the Forums do not work with the last Google Chrome update on OSX (5.0.342.7).

Once trying to Reply the "ERROR: Forum not selected" error message pops out.

No problems at all with Safari, and no problems with Google Chrome before this update release.

It really is a minor thing, do not know how many Mac users with Chrome visit the site. Hope it's the right place to point this out.

Cheers

When adding a URl, it inputs HTTP:// in the front of the URL. This is not good when it should be TELNET:// Just thought I would point this small bug out. I know its a PC thing! :)

@SpitfireTN

I believe you would be referring to your signature here. The problem is that you used the [url] tag, which automatically assumes it is a URL and attaches http:// in front of it.

The only way around this is to use HTML tags ( <A HREF="telnet://....">telnet://.....</A>

@Sibbi

Search seems to be broken whether logged in or not. (Checked in IB and OWB)

http://amigaworld.net/modules/newbb/search.php
or
http://www.amigaworld.net/modules/newbb/search.php

(tested with ordinary keyword "amiga" and got no hits) lol.

Front page search though (normal and advanced) seem ok.

@sundown

I just got a double post after an edit too. The original post was left as it was and the edited version was added as a new post.

But I didn't get a second doubling after I edited the original to say 'double post'...

@Sibbi

I'm seeing an expired xoops [poll] on the front page.

Checking current [polls] I see two supposedly active ones not showing on the front page.
