@TrevorDick

This has now been fixed.

Submit News link should be just under the "»» My Recent Topics »» Recent Topics »» Visit Forums" links.

@sundown

Yes, thanks for that, but the cycle buttons are still borked, sorry I wasn't specific enough.

@Thread

Other than the bug fixes _Steve_ mentioned we also fixed a bug with the newsfeed, both the RSS feed and the javascript feed not working.

Also fixed a long standing bug with the RSS feed falling apart if there were HTML special characters in the title or content of the news item, such as &, RSS would stop working on any newsitem about APC&TCP, been doing this for years, about time it was fixed.

We also added a image verification system (very simple) to the user registration progress, trying to cut down on totally bogus (bot spawned) registrations of users.

Please continue reporting these bugs in this thread, and if they aren't getting responded to, bump the thread, I'm not here 24/7 and for example didn't notice the last two bugs, _Steve_ brought them to my attention earlier tonight.

Not sure its a bug, but if you reply to a regular post, it reloads the page showing your post. Replying to a News post takes you back to page 1, was that way on the old site as well.

Not a bug per se, but inconsistant behaviour with the rest of the site and I've often found it annoying, so I fixed it I believe, at least it worked when I tested it a moment ago.

@DaveyD

When I go to "View Account" my last ten posts don't appear. I posted a few times and went back to check. Still nothing. It's blank.

@Hypex

Yeah, this was a bug in the search code, which caused a typo in the database query which was fetching the information from the database

Sorry about taking so long to fix this but it's been a very busy week at work and I haven't had time to look at this until now.

Yes, we are aware of that one, we need access to the server where the IRC services are running, and it hasn't been opened up yet.

Hi guys,
Know I'm a little late to the party with this one, but there's a slight layout issue I've found. Basically what happens is that pages with a lower vertical resolution than your browser end up centred vertically in the window. As in, I see a grey border above the AW.net logo and banner ads, and below the bottom of the page. It's pretty rare as most pages have more lines than the browser window, but I see it on the "thank you for logging in" and "thanks for your post" pages.

Probably not noticed much either since I'm running a 1600x1200 screenmode, which is still more vertical pixels than most monitors... Thanks!

@Daedalus

I have a feeling this is related to the banner that used to display to say the site was migrating, and the when it had migrated.

@_Steve_

Request others check this to see if it is browser related or not:

Yesterday, this thread was re-categorized from "Amiga General Chat" to "General Technology".

I posted in the thread several times and got the usual "thank you" message.
But this was rapidly followed by the message "Error - The forum/topic you selected does not exist. Please go back and try again."

The only reason I can see for this is that the forum category had been changed by staff yesterday.

Can anyone confirm on a browser other than IB?

@number6

This is definately a problem with the move forum code.

It moved the topic between forums, but the posts still belong to the old forum, hence the error you are seeing .

I fixed the topic manually and I think I both located and fixed the bug that caused it, thank you for bringing it to our attention.

I have mentioned this to DaveyD but thought I'd make this more prominant. The Add event Calendar isn't working. (prolly why there isn't any events showing. It won't go back or forwards from the current month when you try to add an event

@Mikey_C

Hmm...Calendar was mentioned in Post #322.
The forward/backward was described as "fixed".

Ahh..forward/backward works for "calendar" but not for "add an event".

Yeah, I think I fixed this now, try it again

@Number6

This isn't the same thing, the calender in the events, and the calender in add event isn't the same code, one was fixed, the other was still broken.
