When replying to private "messages", (not forum posts), in IBrowse 2.3 demo, you cant click the Reply button. It just wont do anything when you click it.

That is what I meant, even though I said message, I meant a "message" I post, in response to the "item" being the initial, well, item (news post).

A1!!!

This is because the IB2.3 demo stops windows popping up. The PM messaging works by popping up a new window, which is not possible due to IBs demo limitation, and so will not work.

@ _steve_

How advanced is IB2.3? I will be buying it soon, like Mozilla?

While we're on the subject of IBrowse 2.3, the forum button graphics have ugly blue borders around them.. can they be removed somehow?

I hate the way IBrowse defaults to borders around hyperlinked images, I should be able to remove that by setting border=0

@Bodie_CI5:

I have only played with it very briefly in demo mode, and it seemed ok. I still use both Aweb (3.4) and Voyager3 (3.3.126). My problem is using Genesis, IB/AWeb do not have secure sockets, and everytime I tried to use AmiSSL (v1.1 or 2.x) they crash my system, so I have to use V3 for those sites that need it, which isn't always possible as it has stability issues of its own.

Do you notice the biggest difference between these ScreenGrabs of AmigaOrg and AmigaWorld?

Funny thing that;

with AmigaWorld no 'Post New Thread' link is displayed!
in AWeb-II.
Using Konqueror, the 'Post New Thread' button is there but
doesn't seem to work!
Using Mozilla 1.0.0, the 'Post New Thread' button is there AND
it now works!

(What's the deal? No '(' & ')' keys on the numeric keypad on
a PC keyboard, and you can't use the numbers in Text Entry!?!

I'm waiting for the Red & White keycovers to hide these @#%
'Windows' keys!!!

After a quick look at the code, it appears to be becaus eof some broken HTML, in that the form is not complete (ie all thats there in the tag and some javascript to make it submit. To fix it the complete stuff needs adding in. It's all to do with how the browser handles broken HTML really.....

I have said this before,
Always attach my signature overrides Attach signature.

I have also started to notice that some post can only be viewed properly at 1024x768. Not a big thing but I prefer my multiple browser windows to not fill the entire screen each.

This is caused by members posting large images into the threads, this expands the whole thread.

John .. In Konqueror you need to go into settings and switch on Java for Konqueror.

All the buttons work then...

Hang on .. I'll boot my A1 and give you more definative destructions.

An issue I have with (insert expletive here) IE6 is that sometimes i load this site and all the text is too small. So i go to view~text size~Larger to make things readable.

I have to do this nearly everytime I load this site for the first time.

Is this an IE bug or is there some setting in xoops that could fix it?

I don't get the problem on other xoops sites such as A.Org

BTW I am running at a resolution of 1152x864 on a 21" monitor. (in case this affects things)

here are a few I noticed :

News items number of reads increases on refresh giving false number of times the artical been read.

no search feature. I really like the Amiga.com forum search all posts of a user.

clicking on a profile used to display all posts of that user (handy when looking for info) - not available anymore.

Please re-introduce.

Not exactly a bug, but a missing feature - could you made the "New Mesage" thing a bit more obvious when you've got a new PM? Perhaps have the background go pink (like on A.org)?

It would be nice to have the text-field for writing PMs be a
little bigger ... (not really a bug, but it does bug me!)

@DaveyD

Is it just me, or do signatures not get attached no matter what the state of the "Always attach my signature" check box?

@ShadesOfGrey

Hmm... That's weird... In the "Amiga, Inc. to Focus on Mobile Markets with AmigaDE" news thread, my signature is not attached... But in this thread it is...
