Um, Ive been trying out torrent on the PC (350 Mhz), and Im very puzled over the way it has to check the Whole file, Every time that there is an interuption for some reason, such as lock up or crash or such.

Would it be possible to use several layers of hash checks, or even hash of saves every few minutes?

That is, Eaxh file loads in chunks of info, but each chunk is made up of chunks. Could hashing be caried over to chunks of chunks, so that only a few hashes are needed to check large files or blocks easily?

Um, since theres a lot of viral and corruption uploading these days, is it possible to loada hash file, followed by a block file, from more than a single source, so that transfered hash, and calculated hash, can be cross referenced, to work out which sources are more reiable, and load from them, And, spread hash for that source to others, so that the torrent network learns which are better sources?

Um, would it be possible.. or had CPU load, to implement VNC style, or other tunnels, via multiple path, to counteract code injection and improve overall security? 8}

@Tommiii

when you start to download a new file the file is filled with nulls. When the download starts, it replace the parts with those downloaded

I don't know if anyone here with Windows has tried BitLord but this bittorrent program seems SO far in advance of all of the others its not even funny. It features an Intelligent Hash Scan for instant resuming. Maybe a port would be possible to OS4? Its 100% C++ but not OpenSource as far as I know....
