I have gotten the major itch to build an Amiga 1209 and I am aware of the various projects out there that have been attempting to produce various components. I would love to discuss this with other folks who have the same itch.

Some are not available, some need soldering skills, some need parts from dead A1200.

@OneTimer1

I only shared those links as examples of some projects out there in the wild.

@AmigaMac

If you just want to by a case click on the partners page and you will be able to find dealers with stock.

AOTL have have the Kipper2K mechanical keyboards for A1200 though they're not cheap at $199.

Another A1200 project is the A1200+. It has a few enhancements over the original. It's open source but I don't know how complete it is or if there any PCBs available for sale.

Unless there is a shortage of A1200 systems, a recapped A1200 should give you years of life. I have a spare keyboard for mine and a spare keyboard membrane to have replacement options for mechanical parts that could wear out and I keep a stock of internal and external drives. I do the same for my recapped A600. That said a fresh new motherboard with fixes is a thing of beauty. I was considering a reproduction A500+ at one point but uncharacteristically I resisted.
