@Mark & other assorted penguins!

Recently ran across this awesome manual:

Debian GNU/Linux Desktop Survival Guide
http://www.togaware.com/linux/survivor/

I may go with $30 USD for a complete pdf!

Love this Togaware tagline:
"In a world without walls and fences, who needs windows or gates?"

Good day Yosh,

I know that there is a user group in the UK that has the whole Woody distribution CDROM set in their library; however, I am in a similar geographical situation as yourself being outside of the UK.

I actually bought a Woody distribution from a dealer; however, the checksums came out bad. I have been trying to find a site to do a netinstall ever since. If anyone knows of a download site that is still offering the Woody distribution as either a netinstall or CDROM, please let Yosh and I know.

Perhaps someone would be willing to make a Sarge install CD, making the need for a Woody distribution irrelevant?

Thanks,

The Phantom "?"

Good evening all,

Speaking of Linux A1 links, I just tried to go to Intuitionbase to download the YDL3 iso files only to find out that most of Intuitionbase is down. Will YDL3 be made available as a resource for Yellow Dog Amigans once Intuitionbase is running again?

@PhantomInterrogative

I am searching the Debian installer and main CD over the net and have no luck.
My old Debian CDs are unusable so help me!
When I type:

diskboot 500000 2:0 on U-Boot it shows some info but after a while
it returns to U-Boot.I cannot boot Linux CDs.

What can I do to install Debian on my Amiga One?

@newlight

The Diskboot command you are using is wrong you need to to add an 0 or 1 on the end depending on if you are using the internal IDE or a SII card.

@ppc_addon

No, not yet. I'm working on a 2.6.24-rc1 patchset, but the kernel currently locks up during the boot process.
