| In case anyone is interested, I've still been working on my OS4 native FTP client.
At the moment, you can't actually transfer files, but you can log in and browse FTP sites, as well as browse your local hard disk.
It is already fully multithreaded, with a nice ReAction GUI, and you can have as many local browsers and FTP site browsers open as you like. Note that although the local and FTP browsers are not in the same window (like mFTP), the position and size of the windows is by default automatically managed, so its as straightforward to use as a "single window" FTP client (I always found mFTP fiddly).
I plan to support drag-n-drop, FTP to FTP transfers, ARexx control, queued transfers, realtime stats, AISS toolbars, Secure FTP, and some other cool features, but I can't promise anything.
Its not based on the design of any other FTP client, but it will have a slightly similar layout to SmartFTP on windows.
Suggestions are welcome _________________ Playstation Network ID: xeron6 |

| @Rob It'll look like whatever your reaction settings are
Edit: Oh yeah, forgot to mention the >4Gb filesize support. Its designed from the start to cope with files >4Gb (if you have a compatible filesystem, of course). Last edited by xeron on 18-Aug-2006 at 08:50 PM.

Any possibility that there will be SFTP (Secure FTP, i.e. FTP using SSL) support too at some point?
Currently I'm using WinSCP on PC to change stuff on my website. Would be nice if I could do this from my Amiga, as then I wouldn't have to transfer files to the PC first. Last edited by salass00 on 19-Aug-2006 at 04:45 AM.

I hope to support SFTP at some point, yes.
@Elendil
I'll post screenshots once there is something interesting to show. At the moment its just some file lists, log views and navigation buttons. _________________ Playstation Network ID: xeron6 |

Actually its a common bit of FUD spread by geeks - but Billy Boy can.. A few years back some people quizzed him at some convention and he was able to answer their questions without any trouble. However, he admitted that he hasnt written any code for MS applications for for almost 20 years.. |

Me too. I use FTP every now and again for updating my website. ATC does the job (and well too), but a similar client with OS4 roots sounds appealing.
