Don't mind me. Just amending prior topic change to be more specific.
I left the "NOW ENDED" which was someone's intent and also appropriate.
note for those who don't know: Thread topic can only be changed by the original poster. Otherwise you can change the topic of individual posts -within- the thread. as has been done.

Ben?
"For many use cases, yes - AmigaOS is stuck in first half of 1990s, Linux/m68k is not"
your answer: Strong stuff, that copium. LOL!
You seem to take it too
You are seriously proposing to use AmigaOS (you could also mention the other amiga inspired platforms here) for real-world applications like banking. Please stop to take whatever you take now. It is harmful...
And 3.2 misses all that is needed today for a modern system. 4.X is certainly better there but expensive far from being modern in todays terms (I only need to mention security). If at all propably MorphOS is nearest to be a useable platform (thanks to a more uptodate webbrowser and other stuff) but I personally would use none of the platforms for most of the serious tasks Last edited by OlafS25 on 08-May-2023 at 02:44 PM. Been away from Amiga land for some time.
Hi geen_naam, just want to add this to your comments:
With this comment I do not want to create controversy and discussions of any kind. I just want to say that I personally know MB, and I can say about him that he is a really honest, generous and kind person. I believe that it is not possible to judge a person or his efforts only by a testimony, given in circumstances of which we, although spectators, know very little.

That twitter account seems to suffer from significant cognitive bias and magical thinking. I like reading the facts, the legal documents and the soap opera of it all is entertaining but its hyperbolic.
Why bother linking to it? |

I don't understand where you aim at... I was just pointing on how someone who just registered to comment on the subject matter is calling someone else of being biased. Btw I only write from a paradise called Portugal on Amiga.org _________________ Indigo 3D Lounge, my second home. The Illusion of Choice | Am*ga |

Not sure about buying from there, something not quite right with the servings per bag for popcorn boxes/ cartons.

Your quote from another thread: Quote:
their attorney has now petitioned the court to be removed from the case. |
50 pages just to say this...
Quote:
There are no more deadlines in this case, and final judgment has been entered. |
The vast majority of this filing is about listing and proving the multiple contact addresses of Hyperion, be they physical or digital.
There is also a deadline for response of June 23, 2023:
Quote:
Defendant Hyperion has been advised that, as a business entity, it is required by law to be represented by an attorney admitted to practice before this court and that failure to obtain a replacement attorney by the date the withdrawal is effective may result in the dismissal of the business entity’s claims for failure to prosecute and/or entry of default against the business entity as to any claims of other parties. |

Given that Judge Martinez denied Hyperion's request for legal expenses, there is -some- truth to what you say.
Also, having to detail all the possible contact addresses for Hyperion might indicate that Bamert is having to play a bit of "where's Waldo" with Hyperion?

| Lawyers fleeing the sinking Herman's ship.
So sad all the money that people paid for OS 3.1.4 and 3.2+ went to funding Herman's legal attack on the rightful owner he stole from.
Finally some justice being delivered. Now we can only hope he goes bankrupt.
Something very wrong about using the law to line your own pockets from your own wrongdoings. I reckon the judge has finally had enough of him. |

It was Cloanto's choice to buy into a contract they allege that Hyperion had already breached. |
