Yep! Noted, downloaded, unpacked, installed, customised, ran and enjoyed!

Thanks, Joerg!

Note to myself: must make a kind of script to automate the customisation. That man is so active!

Seems like OWB is finally stable again with sites like wunderground. Netsurf 2.0 on the other hand would just constantly freeze my system whenever i resized the window.

Edit: OWB also seems more responsive so far.
The only thing that does not work for me now is my online bank. It just shows a blank page when logging in while 3.7 worked fine. I think it has to do with a TAB not loading as it should on newer versions, as 3.7 opened a extra tab automatically when logging in.

Hmm, I thought I'd fixed that.

Had my first grim reaper with OWB 3.12 today. Happened when i tried to log out from my gmail account. Got a grim reaper pretty much immediatly after clicking "sign out".

It has otherwise been very stable so far compared to previous versions.

I haven't been able to get Gmail to fully work with OWB so far (reading is OK, but changes are not stored). I think the last version of OWB I used was v3.9, has it been fixed since then?

I guess i spoke a bit too soon... I have experienced 2-3 more GR since my last post. It seems to happen randomly when clicking a link.

I havent really fiddled that much around with Gmail under OWB. I recall having some strange errors now and then with previous versions but i never really cared as it worked fine for recieving and sending mail.

@Tomas

Do generate & upload crash logs, they are useful for developers to track down where problem is.

Even if crashlog looks unreadable to you, developers can track down the line number in source code by using "addr2line" command etc.

@NutsAboutAmiga
Well, i didnt even think that far since it was random crashes that happened at a time when i wanted my system to be up and running as soon as possible. Also dosent grim reaper write crash log to ram?? Not much use when those grim reapers usually lead to full system freeze when you kill the program or ignore dsi errors.

I also found no way of reproducing the errors.. The crash can happen on any site at any time it seems.

@Tomas

the crash log is stored in memory area that is not clear after warm reboot, you can recover crash log by typing C:dumpdebugbuffer in shell

only power on/off or reboot to uboot (cold boot) will clear the logs.

Was able to successfully install NetSurf 2.0 after a tip from Chris. Thanks!

However, when I go to Google and enter text in the search phrase text box I get two characters for every keystroke.

@DL

That's a bit dodgy. Does it only happen for Google, or other sites too? What sort of keyboard are you using? Are you on 4.0 or 4.1?

Chris

@Chris_Y

I have not done extensive testing, but it does it on Google, Yahoo, AmigaWorld, the default NetSurf page, and a few other site text boxes so it looks like it is not specific to Google.

I am running OS4.0 with all 4.0 updates applied on an A1-XE. I have a Logitech Y-SC13 keyboard that I have had since I bought the A1, it was recommended as one of the A1 compatible keyboards. NetSurf is the only program I have ever seen to date that has demonstrated this behavior.
