Done already. See: PocketUAE, Symbian UAE4All.

@DiskDoctor

It's not NEMO it's OMEN

OMEN = NEMO

What is X, if not a letter,
Perhaps an Omen, or even better?

X is the missing part I think, so it's like fill here (where the X is)...

I am confused....

00000008 = Privilege Collation ?

I have no solution to all this, but what wonders me greatly is how Rogue et al found time to create this tantalizing and brainsplitting enigma. I mean: they say they are working on Timberwolf; they are supposed to work on MAP and that all seems to be a lot of work. Still they find time to fool us big time...

I can clear up that enigma at least... I didn't. Just because I posed the Timberwolf screenshots thread about screenshots posted by my brother on the project page doesn't mean I came up with anything.

@TheDaddy

Omen, Nemo, whatever. My point is that both this and X letter is simply a distraction. It is just saying "unknown" the other way.

@thread

One more remark. MAP is Hyperion's Most Ambitious Project, not just Most Ambitious AmigaOS Project. Which tells no less than while Amiga-related, this must be something as Hyperion's project alone.

So I wouldn't count on some cute AOS4 features like java, X11, OpenCL, mem protection, multi-core. These are ambitious in Amiga world only, being less ambitious outside.

I'm counting on a new HW, hell, even Moana isn't ambitious enough to be called so by Hyperion. Netbook, netbook

@bitman

It was a great demo. And it even mentions Firefox! (Check out the video at 00:36.)

MUST BE A CLUE!

@Rogue

Minor point (but for the sake of professionalism), the page title is mis-spelt in the header of the A-eon and Hyperion web pages ("peice" should be "piece").

Unless that's a clue too...

I wonder how everybody gets the idea that we are doing everything on our own here.

Well, on the guru meditation screen: http://a-eon.com/1.html
Yes, the letters are in different colors, but, maybe it's the numbers that we ought to be concerned about? Right after the 00000008. I see, other than the letters, four fours and a five right smack in the middle...

I enjoy these riddles, keep the clues coming!

Hopefully when we have all the pieces of the puzzle it won't be that obvious so we'll spend days trying to figure it out and yet it will be something simple enough that it was right under our nose just so unexpected that we couldn't see it.

@DiskDoctor

From what I have read from the past 6 months, it is PowerPC/AOS4 related. (also, otherwise it would not be on http://www.os4.hyperion-entertainment.com/ )
It will bring more CPU power to AOS4 users.
It has some partner(s) involved.

... it could also be the start of the AOS5 (SMP, MP, etc.) road as the high end solution, with AOS4 sandbox etc....

I would like to bet that the "D", "E" and "F" are different colours by pure accident (a font discrepancy only) and have no bearing on the puzzle.

Has it been mentioned that the code in the background of the ? mark image is now gone?

Does this mean that ENIGMA has been solved, as in "What is X, if not a letter,
Perhaps an Omen, or even better?" ?

----------
Edit

oops I couldn't see them on my desktop PC. Still there on laptop...

- need to adjust my PC screen contrast lol
