X is the roman for 10?

And 10 is binary for 2. So it must have 2 cores.

So if "X" it's not the CPU all the theory about X-Mos should be scrapped.

@DAX

"So if "X" it's not the CPU all the theory about X-Mos should be scrapped."

Why?
Because the number of cores is "obscure", perhaps there are co-processing cores on xena (beside two CPU cores on the 20+W PowerPC CPU)

and...
To me it would seem nice because most likely we could ad such xcore chips on SAM's FPGA expansion bus as well.

@DAX

no, you have two different things:
1 is X
2 the cpu

about X, i think its xcore.. think of it as a kind of custom chip
for the cpu, we don't know the detail yet but at least we know its ppc, multicore and highend :)

I'm not bored with it but I am getting bored with the fruity "investigation" of what each and every goddam letter embedded in every page means.

"ZOMG! X means X like in X, but it was partially designed by Hans Joerg and Hans sounds like hands so does that mean we'll each get ten hand-helds? I think so!"

@those statistically inclined

atm, the views for part 1 of this thread shows 81,519, which means about 10,000 new reads of part 1 or rereads since yesterday.
Part 2 is only at 32,957. heh.

@Kimmok @Freaks

Yes in the sense you talk about it might still be a good candidate, some here though have expressed the feeling that there will be no defined CPU (ie, no Titan, no Freescale etc.) just XMOS in different configurations.

That is the Idea we should scrap as we now know that X is not the CPU.

Wait for tomorrow then (for the next clue). The world took 7 days from God to be ready.

They can't have. They could only have used Polaris until reaching the equator then it would be permanently below the horizon.

Ahem, yes, of course, that would be obvious to anyone but a complete idiot...
Not only that, but Polaris is in Ursa Minor, not Major

I really should stick to subjects I know about, rather than trying to skim-study internet resources to find answers

Quote:
Deep-sea voyages were obviously made. Navigation at night was based on use of the “Phoenician star” – the Pole Star - in Ursa Minor, and this was recognised by other cultures applying the name ‘Phoenike’ to the Ursa Minor constellation. Thus, the Phoenicians were excellent celestial navigators too. They occasionally travelled farther afield. For example, it is generally accepted that they did complete the first circumnavigation of Africa around 600 BC.

Having said that, most of Africa is north of the equator, therefore Polatris would be visible for much of the journey.

I can't believe that you all missed the serpent. That was what was twisted in the branches of the first tree. I'm not sure what it has to do with all the rest of the clues however.

Here's something to help you guys solve the riddles while I get some sleep...

This kind of riddles hides the answer in the grammar and spelling, so to find out what Xena is, one or more words have to be recreated with:

"To start=first letter(s), just look at the very first page"
X?

"To follow=next letter(s), begin where Nemo entered into a rage."
C (sea)?, N(autilus)?

"Then add to that=next letter(s) what the Phoenicians used to see"
I (eyes)? What else would/did they use to see?

"The end was found=last letter(s), fricatively wound, in the branches of the very first tree."
th ch s and f all are fricative consonants

"My whole=complete word(s) was born in a place where a Celtic river was by Saxons, crossed" (that one is a bit trickier)

Good luck! I want the correct answer by the time I wake up

it would be nice to se the nemo HW configuration that runs @ FriedensHQ.
for 2Gb configuration, is there one dimm per CPU side? (it would mean it has two bus, IMO)

Is the zorro already populated?
