This is really popcorn material, who is John and what is his relationship to AI and itec? AI is Bill & Vince and who else? Is AI basically about to be absorbed by C=USA?

John Grzymala was an accountant for Pentti Kouri all companies in which the largest was (and is) Hakia http://www.hakia.com

The other companies named:
Amiga Inc www.amiga.com
Askar Capital
Bandwidth Technology Corp. http://bandwidthtechcorp.com
Itec
Kmos
and a few others that I do not remember the name.

I have the contract signed for AA2 production. It would be sent to John Grzymala.

Vince Pfeifers = VP Product Development at Amiga Inc. Currently Holds this position http://www.linkedin.com/pub/vince-pfeifer/10/469/939

Answering my own question...

Quote:
Has anyone purchased an IContain Amiga branded product?

ok. We've found some people who ordered.

Next question for any who ordered...

We understand you were all charged for your purchase. But did any of you actually receive product? So far everyone says "no".

Did they "buy" them from iContain or AI?

The orders were placed on amiga.com website in each case.

Just one example post:

Quote:
Michael Schomer
I placed an order on on Nov. 23rd for two Amiga 7" tablets with cases and keyboards. The money for the order was withdrawn from my PayPal account on Nov. 25th. It's been over a week since I placed the order and I've not received ANY correspondence from Amiga to acknowledge the order or give me a ship date. These units are Christmas presents for my 2 kids. Starting to get nervous that I've made a bad choice buying from Amiga.

An "Amiga" response followed that is imo crazy beyond belief....

worth a look

@damocles

A little Friday humor perhaps?

Quote:
Additionally we have been granted the right to enforce the Amiga trademark IP, in instances where we feel the trademark property has been either used in an unauthorized manner or in a form not allowed under current international and US law.

If it turns out that AI has indeed been collecting money and not shipping product paid for by said monies, you realize your first defense of the IP will mean filing suit against the folks you got the right to defend it FROM? Heh.

An official confirmation from CUSA concerning the IContain licensing:

Forum question:
Quote:
Didn't iContain make an aio Amiga during their brief flirtation with Amiga Inc?

CommodoreUSACTO answer:
Quote:
No. And we are assured that they (or any others) never will. That chapter is over. There is much more exclusivity in our current contract.

Interesting to note that there are more complaints since Decemeber about non-delivery of product yet the customer has been charged for same.
The so-called "next manufacturing run" deadline to be in the customer's hands (as I read it) has expired.

While the website still shows it for $98.00, it's interesting to note that an ebay seller has got a "buy it now" for $129.00.

Perhaps since it's become a collector's item? [insert lol here]

Sad thing is that this hurts Amiga(OS) name, also.

IContain is no longer "protecting" Amiga.

http://icontainprotects.com/

Those of you who have followed the IContain mini drama might recall this page formerly was covered with product info and Amiga trademarks/logos.

But the iContain store is still up.

http://www.icontainstore.com/

So I wonder how long it will take for that to dissapear. Though it looks like they are now selling the Toshiba Thrive (http://www.icontainstore.com/toshiba-thrive-at105t108/)

@CritAnime

Looking at it logically, it has been said the disposal of stock on that site and others might be "grandfathered" so to speak.

It would also be logical that the now missing link which really spoke of an alliance/partnership would be paramount to remove in the case of the licensing being terminated.

Well, that link is now dead on my end, but I see places other than Alibaba listing the "products":

http://www.tradezz.com/todd-kleperis-amiga_0/

Yawn, this is all very dull and predictable Amiga Inc news. Try Amigakit for proper Amiga products.

Slow day, but I see a lot of hits for Icontain's Todd Kleperis this week.

I wonder if his experience with Amiga Inc. thrust him into this new endeavor?
