Hi All!

One of the great things that came out of AmiWest this year was the generous donations by so many active Amiga developers. I've put together a quick list of the software donated to AmiWest. So what software am I missing?

Amiboing.de games
RDesktop
Digital Universe
1941 DX

Cheers,

Good question! I would like a comprehensive list of commercial and under supported Amiga software. This thread could serve that purpose.

What about :

The full version of DV player?
BOH the game?
A bounty contribution?
A cash gift to some of the devs of free software you currently use?

AOS4 with the x1000 dongle!

No, really, if we would "waste" all our hobbymoney to expensive HW all SW developments would fade away and Amiga would die 100% surely.

Anyway, there is too many applications to buy, I think.
It would be far more easy if we had a dead platform.

I would like to clarify that Digital Universe is still at version 1.6 for the registered version, there are still a couple of small bugs I want to sort out. So anyone purchasing DU at the moment will be able to download upto version 1.6 only but the update to v1.7 is free once it is completed. "When its done (tm)".

The version demoed at AmiWest was a specially compiled version, it was the full pre release version of 1.7 but it will time out at the end of the year.

Anyone wanting to try out this time limited version can download an ISO at:

http://www.digitaluniverse.org.uk/tempfiles/DU_AmiWest_Install.iso.lha

No UID nor password are required for this download.

** WARNING TO OWNERS OF THE FULLY REGISTERED V1.6 **

Under no circumstances copy any of the files from the AmiWest version to your existing v1.6 setup - they are not compatible. The 1.7 update (when it's done) will take care of all file conversions and retain your current settings. If you do try out the AmiWest version do not overwrite your current setup - as a new drawer with specific name "DU_Ami_West" is created a bit of work would be required to actually do that but no doubt someone would have a go and manage it

When the full version 1.7 is complete current users REQUIRE a working v1.6 drawer to apply the update - so before doing that would need to ensure that the DUOS4: assign points to their v1.6 location and not the AmiWest version. Any current v1.6 user not comfortable with AmigaOS and editing 'user-startup' files should not try this limited AmiWest version but wait until the proper version is complete.

@Templario

I own HollyWood and Designer already. I also have a copy of WordMeUP. Tired to registar for 1941 but the site was broken. Need to check up on that.

Wish we had more software to buy...
