ok. New name Patrick Roberts to have a look at.

Martyn Brown is a very active internet person, he posts on news forums and so on and he knows whats going on but maybe someone (AGI) failed to grasp the dream17 policy?.
i know that some of the other games have been "ok'd" by the owner(s) of the IP and that it was done in a proper and good manner but reading sites like Eurogamer and IGn on these things certainly makes me pretty sure that many of the titles is games they "thought" was free due to them being released on BTTR,Amigafuture cd's and so on.
i contacted many devs in the last decade and most of them who i actually could reach basically said, "yes sure you can do that as we don't care" and others (atari / owner of ocean/infogrames etc) was more like.. hmm what? , do we own that?.
i bet Andreas Magerl can fill in loads of these things as he works on getting games for his magazine AmigaFuture a lot, maybe he have been contacted by AGI ?

Nothing new really but since we have the other bizpedia link about Amiga Games Inc. with obvious problems in content, here's the one for Amiga Inc.:
http://www.bizapedia.com/wa/AMIGA-INC.html
Still showing "inactive".

I've heard reference to ENU. Is that possible in this context or am I totally off base?

This might go far in answering some of the earlier posts, where we discussed what would be required re:emulation:

I guess he's being conservative in calling some things facts.
But it was clear from the press release (to me anyway) that Patrick Roberts was president and not Bill McEwen, as mentioned in earlier posts here.

From their FB page: Vojin Vidanovic How is company related to Amiga Inc, and how does it get licenses for games? Indeed, nice to see retro mania is back Like · Reply · August 21 at 10:20pm
Amiga Games, Inc Amiga Games Inc has licensed various items from Amiga Inc, for example the use of Amiga trademark name in our company name. Amiga Games Inc licenses classic games directly from the games' current rights holder. From Investor's Hub. Lots of comments to read but particularly the posting of a few questions and answers from Patrick Roberts:
Question:
Quote:
Message via Amiga Games website contact button:---
name = Jim message = Hi AGI,
What is Bill McEwen's involvement with AGI...is he President? CEO? Thanks, -Jim |
Answer from Patrick Roberts:
Quote:

Hi Jim Thanks for your message. Bill McEwen is President and CEO of Amiga Inc, which is a separate company from Amiga Games Inc., which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Writers Group Film Corp.
Best Regards, Pat Roberts President Amiga Games Inc |
Question:
Quote:
Hi Pat,
Thank you very much for answering my question. Another one please... Is he an officer or director of Amiga Games Inc.? |
Answer from Patrick Roberts:

Sent: Monday, September 9, 2013 5:25 PM Subject: Re: Message from Amiga Games website
Hi Jim
AGI has retained Bill as an outside business consultant, but no, he's neither an officer nor director of Amiga Games Inc (AGI) or Writer's Group.
Best Regards, Pat AGI / RI |

Answer from Patrick Roberts:

Hi Jim
Prior to Writer's Group purchase of Amiga Games Inc, Bill was President of AGI. We submitted a notice of change when the purchase was finalized but the Washington SoS must not have updated their online records (see the disclaimer at the top of the page you sent).
Best Regards, Pat Roberts AGI / RI |
Question:
Quote:
Hi Pat, Sounds like he got fired? Would that be correct?
Thanks |
Answer from Patrick Roberts:
Quote:
Sent: Monday, September 9, 2013 6:41 PM Subject: Re: Message from Amiga Games website
Hi Jim
Bill wasn't fired. It was planned he would step down as a director and hand over the presidency upon successful completion of the Writer's Group terms sheet.
Imagine you go to a bakery. You don't want to buy the entire bakery, just the bagels. The bakery puts the bagels into a plastic bag. They hand you the bag and you examine the bagels, pay for them, and take them home. Amiga Games Inc, in a business sense, is like the plastic bag. First it was owned (or controlled) by Amiga Inc (Bill McEwen), Amiga Inc filled it with the stuff Writer's Group wanted to buy. Writer's Group examined the contents, paid for it, and took it home. (Not a perfect metaphor, but hopefully it helps illustrate the relationship between Amiga Inc, Amiga Games Inc, and Writers Group)
Best, Pat AGI / RI |

Interesting to see changes in the "who we are" bits.
From today's press release, this is how Amiga Games sees itself:
Quote:
Amiga Games Inc. licenses classic pre-Windows computer game libraries and republishes the most popular titles for smartphones, modern game consoles, PCs, and tablets. The Company builds on the "Amiga" and other "MS-DOS" brands and technologies to create new revenue from publisher's dormant game libraries. |

OK... hold the phone. THAT is just &%*µ$§!! offensive! How can they think the Amiga OS is built on MS-DO$? Tossers. |
I'm trying to give them benefit of the doubt that this is just bad writing, but indeed...that gets more difficult with each passing day. Perhaps they really do not know what they are acquiring. I mean REALLY do not know.
