A new release of MUI 4.0 for AmigaOS4 has been made available for download on the MUI development for AmigaOS page. The main focus was on bug fixing. The fixes done on the the new register class Title.mui will make this release the minimum requirement for future releases of Odyssey Web Browser.

@SACC-dude

Why don't you just try?

I updated the AmiUpdate database entries accordingly. Hence the update should work, at least in theory. But the archive now also contains an Installer script. There is no need to manually copy around files any more or to invoke the AutoInstall script manually.

For me, the autoinstall script didn't work (why do you use "Workbench/MUI/MUI" as source path for the copystore/copy command? If it's unarchived to RAM: as default, this won't work at all, and additionally this looks like *nix path conversion done wrong...)

The manual install (default installer script) worked, though.

I just uploaded new archives with a fixed AutoInstall script. I hope this works. I cannot test it myself right now.

Thanks for the update :) I installed it from the install script after amiupdate failed.

Should work now, as the path is more relative now There is some quirk with "Object in use" reports, but this is no problem at all (as long as there is no new image/border stuff, that couldn't replace the old ones then).

@all

Remember that to open all of MUI's options you need to purchase a (non-individualized) key.

Thanks for the update! and two questions, the update process will be good with the install script besides the AmiUpdate, because I can't connect my Sam to Internet always, and the second question where buy the key and if this is good or bad as I read in some thread?

Sorry, but there is nothing I can do about that. If files are in use then they cannot be replaced. When updating MUI you simply have to make sure that no MUI application is running, no matter if the update happens via AmiUpdate or via the Installer script.

Where is the question here?

A key file can be obtained at the original MUI homepage. The key file is still sold by Stefan Stuntz.

@all

There's some problems when opening the mui/demos and mui/docs drawer. It can slow down your system (lock) not able to move the mousepointer for a while. The problem is in the mui/demos/readme.info and mui/demos/deutch.info. Just delete these icons and all will be good. You can ofcourse make new icons if you like.

IB 2.4 & 2.5 put up a GR with this update, either on startup or clicking on a post.

This isn't a debate about what browsers I use.
