A few, quick snaps (sorry about the quality, running out of space) of the first X500 Evo Black going to Stephen (U.K.):

All black case and keys on Cherry MX Black switches, the full set of Amiga keys are all either laser etched or UV printed:

With extra red Amiga "A" keys (made on request) and colour Boing Ball:

With the WASD keys and dual layer Caps Lock, Num Lock, Screen Lock, F10 and F12 black keys - these are taken from the Ducky keyboard and work well with the set of black Amiga keys:

Thank you.

Incredible work TheDaddy! Congratulations on this achievement!

Just wanted to ask, what motherboards can this case take? Is it a replacement case for classic machines, or for new classic FPGA motherboards such Natami-like projects?

All the best!

Q!

@TheDaddy

I love the concept/design I just would extend it further, at least conceptually I would relly on wifi to transfer files, at most I would seek a solution so that I could stick those cards but next to the power leds, to make it as sleek and clean as possible. I'm just day dreaming though!

@QuBe

Thank you very much!

It can take mini-itx, flex-atx (SAM460 for example) or half mini-itx like the FPGA Arcade Replay board.

I only know of one person who is trying to adapt the case for an A1200 motherboard but I have no photographic evidence as yet.

Marios has done this to his X500 Evo:

Wi-fi Bluetooth USB under the cover. I think it's on page 5 of his blog.

Hi Everyone,

I love the keyboard! My question is whether the keyboard will be sold seperately for use on the AmigaOne 500 for example. I would love buy one, and might be a good way to raise some money for the project.

If I had the time, I would buy one and put an AmigaOne in there say a Sam460 board.

@TheDaddy

Actually, was going to ask you if you felt it would have been too troublesome to include the supports within the case to allow for a classic A1200 board, or A600 board be fitted?

I guess if the case is big and high enough, fitting the classic motherboards (with add-ons) should be ok, is that correct?

Q!

I can't really say...I have no A1200 motherboard to test it with unfortunately.
It was never designed to host an A1200/600 motherboard but I suppose one could drill holes in the aluminium base to put some pillars in.

The case is 52mm high internally (highest point - flat rear part). My guess is that it should fit with all the extras but hacking will be required, especially on the rear panel.

@pixie

I see what you mean but there is a 3.5" internal USB Card Reader on the side:

In post n3 you can just see it under the slim DVD-RW.
