@1Mouse

All you need is some very nice glowicons in AmigaOS 4.1 style.

@Phantom

It had been my original idea to include them in one database.

It seemed a good idea to get individual section out there and knowing that they work for others before putting together.

@all

If anyone have any thoughts on how to make the individual sections better please let me know.

This ships part of the database is taking an age to put together, there's just so much text to get together.

I've made a good start on the ships section, only got federation ships on there but still good enough to try.

Trouble is I can't upload to OS4Depot.

Tried uploading via OWB on my MorphOS machine and tried Edge and IE on my PC but to no avail.

Any idea anyone?

Not to worry, figured it out and Star Trek Ships section is now uploaded to OS4Depot.

At present there is only the Federation ships on there but more will come

@all

Could someone please give me some feedback?

I'd like to be able to improve:
ST_Ships
ST Characters
ST Rooms
ST Schematics

Apart from not having an intro which is prepared and ready to be implemented are there any other things I could improve?

or at least tell me if I'm wasting my time.

Wish I could but I get the same error as with the other versions I've tried.

Error loading Sounds/STcomp003.wav
current line 72718 in function error

I am not much familiar with the Star Trek universe, bit heard about it somewhere

Your databases are looks like you have put a lot of time to create them. Nice work. I love the "GUI" style.
I think you should continue it until you enjoy the time you spend for it. If currently there is not much interest, it could make somebody happy in the future.

Before I knew that this user interface style belongs to the Star Trek computer displays I made a similar GUI for one of my programs inspired by and grabbed from an Amiga game Rules of Engagement .

And my program (made with Hollywood) uses that GUI for a business utility:

@1Mouse

I still get the STcomp003.wav error (line 99027).

Is there any possibility of a -nosound option?

@Severin

I'm creating it with Designer on a MorphOS machine which it works on OK and also saved executables for a windows machine witch it works on OK

Do you have the WAV datatype?

@all

Would it be a better idea to use a different audio format?

@1Mouse

I also got the wav error when I tried the file ST_Ships_OS4 :S

But haven't you forgot to include the sound files??

Since the sound files doesn't seem to be included in the file nor any sound files are in the lha archive...

Would also be nice with some feedback what buttons you can press and what not. Now it's little hit and miss on different buttons and see if anything happens

Other than that, it looks fantastic

Just have to click on the button relating to the species which you want to check the ships of.

At the moment there are links to Borg Ships, Breen Ships, Cardassian Ships, Federation Ships, Klingon Ships & Vulcan Ships.

The forward and back buttons will advance the body text one page forward or backward, or advance forward or backward the list of ships with a specific species.

The main menu button will take you back to the previous main menu, from a specific ship back to the list of ships for species and select main menu and it will take you back to the page to choose a species.

Any ships highlighted in red within body copy when clicked on will take you directly to that ship no matter which species it belongs to.

The idea behind this and the other three databases on OS4Depot, Ships, Characters and Schematics was to combine them all eventually with other items such a Med, Tech, Food and Species, possibly other items.

Try them all and give me some feedback, I will try to improve them all, early days yet.

Thanks all to those have tried them. I will continue.

So it continues for you after the error? It doesn't here, just exits to the shell.

No, the program ends.

@marko

Am struggling finding an audio format.

I have used WAV which works on some but not on others.

I am using a MorphOS PowerBook running Designer v4.0, using WAV and MP3 work fine on my MorphOS and WAV seems to work for some, even OS4 Classic.

Being able to use Designer on a PC or AmigaOS type laptop (just a little joke) would be an easier task.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated
