@michal

if you succeed building aros you might be interested to have us (me, perhaps nick) testing if your changes to build system work correctly with other targets.

This is without a doubt the most interesting Amiga like project today.
The progress is amazing. Mschulz realy know his stuff :)

If there is a way to use more than 1 core it would blast everything seen before on amiga platform.
If that can not happen it still a future proof concept where the arm cpu will get
more and more powerfull.
Thankfully Pi got onboard 2D, 3D hardware that makes it powerfull where used and very Amiga like.

It is possible this thing could be picked up by the demo sceners to do future Amiga NG productions.

We can get online with some android phone connected with usb cable and if Mschulz implement isochronous transfers we could use some usb sound card. USB sound card can be found from around 1$ and up on e-bay.

Why would the Pi (I'm assuming 3b, 3b+) need a USB sound card?

Because the Pi has no 'real' built in sound card.

It can make 'noises' via its built in PWM outputs, thay might have good quality compared to Paula but they are not really HiFi.

@Lou

First of all since it is not very likely that the sound chip is supported from AROS out of the box. It might be more easy and at least future proof to have sound through USB. Writing drivers can be difficult.
Maybe model 2 and 3 even have different soundchips I don't know.

Like "OneTimer" said it will also give option for much better sound quality.

Again, my experience with with the 3B model but I was running Kodi and that model (via HDMI) has good quality sound.

The 3B/3B+ should be the model to focus on as "standard hardware"...if you ask me.
