It's pretty limited given it's name and no other news sites supported...i'd rather open a browser and switch sites whenever i want.

wrt X-Dock:
Will there at least be a program to write the already available AmiDock dockies for X-Dock?

I'd have a pretty long list in mind...

Shame about the old dockies not being compatible. I'm sure replacements will come in time, what are the benefits of X-Dock over AmiDock?

Take it this little app will have notication support to notify of a new stories?

X-Dock is actively developed and already features many improvements over AmiDock.

The API for Dock Apps is very different to Dockies because we do not have access to the source code of Amidock so we wrote our own system. Now it is complete we can maintain it regularly by releasing new versions through Updater tool.

No updates have come out for Amidock for many years and I have read quite a few bug reports from frustrated users which have still not been addressed.

There are already many Dock Apps available for X Dock and there will be more forthcoming from our team. There is also a few example DockApps in the X Dock SDK if any coders want to create their own.

The AmigaWorld News Dock App supports Ringhio Notifications to alert you when news is published.
