This is false.

I would guess that the group would first need a consensus of which tools are wanted and needed.

Problem with amiga community is fragmentation. We have Amiga Os 4, MOS, Vampire, classic. All with different API and speed.
What is needed is common graphics accelerator, that may be used in Amiga Os 4, MOS, Vampire, classic.
Something with at least 2D speed of pc from w95 era and 3D speed of PS1.
Version for clasic with built in scandoubler.

@amigadave

I agree with kas1e. There aren't any major gaps. And gaps can be sort of a feature, a challenge, something to work on. For developers, the Amiga is not about having everything served anymore, it's about constraints and 'wasting' time (in a good way) on things that developers on other platforms take for granted.

For regular users on the other hand, gaps can be really annoying. So rather than investing a lot of time in development tools (of course we need to invest time in those as well), I think we should focus on the things that make life difficult for all users, developers included. The obvious example would be a modern browser.

The major gap is graphics on 68k is too slow.
It is not feature or challenge. It is simple too slow.
