So I was browsing eBay because why not LOL and I happened upon an A1200 Blizzard PPC with 060 and 200MHz PPC board with 64MB RAM. Nothing particularly unusual about that, rare, but I've seen them listed before. Then I noticed the asking price €2300! (although the postage is quite reasonable).

That got me thinking, I have a Blizzard PPC with 040 and 200MHz PPC, so smaller 68K but I have 256MB RAM. What you reckon, I should list it at say €1999?! LOL

I just because I would never sell, it is an awesome board and a unique bit of Amiga history, yet it is amazing how much people think things like this will sell for.

Out of curiosity, if you had that board (or mine) what would you put it up as a "Buy It Now" price?

RAM is not expensive. Easy and cheap to find. 040 is neither what most people want. It is still a nice card and 1000£ I guess you can get for it.

Well technically its worth what anyone will willing to pay for it, if can sell it for 5 x the price of X5000, then good for you.

I guess you will need to find someone who thinks the same.

If I was an buyer it probably buy an Vampire system for Classic software, and AmigaONE-X5000 for AmigaOS4.1. if did not care about unique history of accelerator card.

A mix between a vampire and AmigaONE system might right thing, that never way you need to worry about usb / sound / Ethernet chip / SATA chips stop being produced, and all the development resources having to spend their time writing drivers instead doing something productive.
