Does it keep repeating the error? If you go to the option to generate stack trace you should see what programs were involved. The actual program causing the crashing isn't obvious in this case. |

X5000 is booting, AmigaOS 4.1 is not.
Maybe a faulty hard drive. Try to boot on CD or another media to test. _________________ PowerMac G5 2,7Ghz - 2GB - Radeon 9650 - MorphOS 3.14 AmigaONE X1000, 2GB, Sapphire Radeon HD 7700 FPGA Replay + DB 68060 at 85Mhz |

Ok, I've just rebooted my X1000 and I now get the exact same error.
I think something has been installed yesterday by AmiUpdate (Rigo explained he lost the datatbase and, he had to rebuild it by hand and he made some mistakes).
I have a backup, I'll try to restore my WB.
I don't know what has caused this but I hope there won't ben many systems crashes or it will be complicated to restore them. Last edited by K-L on 31-Aug-2020 at 04:07 PM.

Ok, can't boot without startup-sequence. Still crashing.
I tried to boot from the CD but OpenFirmware doesn't see it. I must find another way to boot from the CD to restore my WB.
I'm wondering what is crashing there. _________________ PowerMac G5 2,7Ghz - 2GB - Radeon 9650 - MorphOS 3.14 AmigaONE X1000, 2GB, Sapphire Radeon HD 7700 FPGA Replay + DB 68060 at 85Mhz |

Ok, I'm stuck.
Can't boot from CD (atapi is not seen on OF).
And even if I could, my R7 250 would not be working since the CD doesn't have the Radeon HD driver.
To make it work again, I would have to take out my hard drive and find another OS4 system to copy my backup to it.
So for the moment, my X1000 is useless as must by Sicky's X5000.
Are there any other users impacted by this crash ? _________________ PowerMac G5 2,7Ghz - 2GB - Radeon 9650 - MorphOS 3.14 AmigaONE X1000, 2GB, Sapphire Radeon HD 7700 FPGA Replay + DB 68060 at 85Mhz |

Indeed. Unfortunately, I cannot reverse to my backup. See my precedent post _________________ PowerMac G5 2,7Ghz - 2GB - Radeon 9650 - MorphOS 3.14 AmigaONE X1000, 2GB, Sapphire Radeon HD 7700 FPGA Replay + DB 68060 at 85Mhz |

It may be possible but I have no Radeon HD driver on my X1000 CD (that I must copy on a USB drive) so I won't see anything.
I must find a supported Radeon HD card.
Lot of work to do... And no time to do it. _________________ PowerMac G5 2,7Ghz - 2GB - Radeon 9650 - MorphOS 3.14 AmigaONE X1000, 2GB, Sapphire Radeon HD 7700 FPGA Replay + DB 68060 at 85Mhz |

I am running an X5000 and had to use my UBS thumb drive once for emercency. As i remember it also does not has the Radeon HD driver, but i had i basic desktop if i recall correct and could restore a backup.

I remember that the X5000 had a light Radeon HD driver. I'm not sure if the X1000 has one since it's older. I will try. _________________ PowerMac G5 2,7Ghz - 2GB - Radeon 9650 - MorphOS 3.14 AmigaONE X1000, 2GB, Sapphire Radeon HD 7700 FPGA Replay + DB 68060 at 85Mhz |

You mean it crashes even if you drop to a shell from startup menu?
That would indicate a corrupt Kickstart. |

No, z.lib corrupted. See the thread Skateman pointed us to. _________________ PowerMac G5 2,7Ghz - 2GB - Radeon 9650 - MorphOS 3.14 AmigaONE X1000, 2GB, Sapphire Radeon HD 7700 FPGA Replay + DB 68060 at 85Mhz |
