The NVIDIA Jetson Nano is competition for the Raspberry Pi 4.
Pi4 6.25W max Jetson Nano 5-10W CAPA13R@2GHz 30W max
Pi4 85.6mm x 56.5mm = 4,836 Jetson Nano 70mm x 45mm = 3150 (tall with heat sink though) CAPA13R 146mm x 104mm = 15,104
Pi4 $35 min (2GiB) Jetson Nano $59 min (2GiB) CAPA13R ?
The GPU should be much stronger than the Pi4 GPU and allows for parallel workloads using CUDA. The 4 ARM Cortex A57 cores are not as powerful as the Pi4 4 ARM Cortex A72 cores though (16%-30% performance increase and 20% energy reduction on the same process). They used 2 boards with the SoC and memory board (under the heat sink) separate from the I/O board. A USB Wi-Fi dongle is included rather than being built in but this may reduce cost. The Jetson Nano looks attractive for embedded applications that need more GPU or parallel performance than the Pi4 can deliver. Hobbyist ARM gamers should be happy. Price conscious customers and current Pi users who like the large community and support may be reluctant to switch. Overall a nice product that should be a hit if the software and support are good (wait for reviews).
