@Rob

What are the benefits of 3D support to Amiga ?

I doubt I’ll be using anything that requires it, at least to begin with

@DiscreetFX

The flashing lights and multiple fans are completely unnecessary

It’s a tool not a toy

Mostly games but Hollywood has a GL plugin and Blender uses Warp3D/MiniGL. Blender can be used for video editing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjifrE_x4kw

Wazp3D is software renderer for Warp3D/MiniGL which will run Warp3D compatible software with various degrees of compatibility.

It might be worth holding out for the next release of Enhancer Software, see Kas1e's Novabridge thread.

Not much to be honest!

I believe the Radeon HD 4xxx/5xxx cards were the ones originally shipped in Amigaone systems from AeonKit and Acube. When AeonKit suddenly decided they would only support other GFX cards for the new 3D instead, people (and dealers) had to buy new cards to be able to use that feature.

If you let the card remain in your machine for a while you also have the option of installing the latest MorphOS and try it out free of charge in 30 minutes demo chunks. MorphOS support this card with accelerated 2D but no 3D, and unfortunately not Overlay either (will affect video playback inside web pages like youtube). Should you choose ti install MorphOS and use it seriously in a dualboot configuration you should use a second HDD/SDD for it. Also, if you find yourself in a situation where you come to appreciate the features of MorphOS (like modern web browsing and e-mailing) and thus find yourself using MorphOS but not OS4, then you should consider changing GFX card to Radeon X1950.

Have fun!

@AmigaOneProductions

I don't play any games except for Sudoku, last thing before bed every night.

My machines are all used for text (software development and testing), and occasionally playing movies.

I use the HD 5450 on every one of my machines that have plug-in graphics cards. They are cheap, I have about a dozen of them. They are silent and don't take much power.

The HD 5450 (or its clone, the R5 230) is quite enough for me.

@DiscreetFX&AmigaOne designs

I have an AmigaOne X5000 too and it doesn't run very well because of the sound not reproducing at all on a new speakers with light I buyed on summer and bluetooth and the the likes.

In definetely it is a solid system but with flaws.

Not to mention that my Amiga's e-mail client YAM doesn't work at all.

If someone can even help me,I would be grateful with him or her

Thank you

And good luck and hope you can enjoy your Amiga One X5000 as you want to

Merry Christmas to all!!

EDIT:Ah! And I have Morphos and Fienix installed without a sound and every time I have to boot one or another I have to change cables,is a mess because I have to open the tower and change cables and all.All my 3 systems without a sound now.Very unusual to me

@newlight

Very strange audio problems you’re having. How did you manage to dual boot MorphOS and AmigaOS 4.1?

@DiscreetFX

About booting MorphOS and AmigaOS 4.1,they boot separate,off the record,I can only boot Fienix+AmigaOS 4.1 or Fienix+MorphOS

So I can't boot Morphos or AmigaOS 4.1 together.

That was the legacy Amedia lay on me

@AmigaOneProductions

I ditch this huge case which has only one (!) bay to a more normal tower.

No idea why they choose this kind of huge tower totally useless !

@Rob

Yes they are connected to my AmigaOne X5000.One jack to the audio card and the USB cable goes to the USB back port of the tower.

Hope this helps

@newlight

Have you tried connecting the speaker to another device via the cable to check if you have the same problem. Maybe the speaker is confused because you have the USB plugged into the computer, maybe try it with just the audio jack plugged in. Is there a button to change the input mode?

@AmigaOneProductions

I thought you were going to wait. ;)

Did you manage to find the card new or is it used? It might be worth checking out CEX since they offer a 2 year warranty with all graphics cards and they currently have a 270X in stock for £85.

@Rob

No I haven't done it

Yes there is a button to change from Bluetooth and EIO X mode,at the top pf the speakers,of the right one as you see

But I don't see future for this speakers on my AmigaOne X5000

I am missing this sound a lot and that,s not my fault.

Maybe Amedia has something to say?

Just had a thought. Maybe AHI is not configured. Have a look in AHI prefs.
