People are sick of the cyclical nature of this forum. They make up personalities to subvert the truth because they don't like the fact that AmigaNG has gone quiet, they don't like the Vampire and they are not excited about the first mainstream 'Amiga' in years; THEA500 Mini! Presumably unless we all just use emulation on the PeeCee like them our reality is crazy to them!

Well Amiga was really fun back in the day, Amiga was about creativity, Art and innovation and Fun.

That is what this Forum no longer reflects. Instead here in this Forum there aren`t even Camps anymore. it is often anybody fighting anybody and trying silly manipulations. The People start to lose the real Amiga Feeling of Fun and Joy and Confidence. Many People fill up the Tunnel with trash so that nobody can see the light at the end of the tunnel anymorel. It`s like anybody got nuts and destructive. I am trying an attempt to discuss this if this is mentally healthy. I got Psychiatric Problems too. So I want to try an attempt how the situation here could be discussed in a healthy and positive and maybe creative way to bring back AW to a better level again!

Thank god for that. The camps are what destroyed Amiga for everyone. The Blue vs Red wars and the autism it displayed is over. Everyone lost and both teams are basically destroyed and only consist of a handful of people today. That is a good thing. May these NG teams continue to dwindle until they are all forgotten as mistake of the past.

There is no light at the end of the tunnel. That light went out many years ago for all OS4/MOS/AROS due to fracturing the developer base and spreading resources too thin. This was made worse by all the fans being constant autistic and constantly fighting over a dwindling market, scaring all normal people away until only the most hardcore fans would remain.

Once all the different NG flavors die off and disappear we will be able to mend, become a normal retro hobby and start attracting normal people that want to be part of a retro community.
There is demand for and people want to be part of a real amiga retro community. The sales numbers for the mini amiga shows that clearly.
We just have to wait a little more for Hyperion to lose the lawsuits and go under, taking OS4 with it and then Cloanto and partners can go full speed ahead to revive the RETRO market.

Even sinclair spectrum has "commercial" releases of new games in its community, there is no reason we can have the same thing for Amiga + ks3.1 as a retro platform.

Totally agree! The upcoming release of Metro Siege, Re-Shoot Proxima 3 etc is what keeps the magic alive! The A500 Documentary and even David Pleasance's belated books are all great! Oh yeah and there's a new Amiga Game Calendar out from Martin Grundy for your stocking too!

All we need is for EA to capitulate and release us the sources for a RTG version of Deluxe Paint 6 and "everything is awesome" to quote The Lego Movie!

It is a shame I think amigaworld forum is slipping in quality a bit, i personal feel threads / trolling about one user should be banned and removed, as they don’t help, not productive and very little to do with Amiga world, which is what this site is meant to be about, (the clue in the name guys). Some forum topics have also gone way off topic, see the CAGA thread, but that not too bad if it’s generally a interesting side topic but again maybe we needs more mods to guide the subject back. I been guilty of discussing the odd non Amiga topic, or going off topic so I not going to cry that it shouldn’t be happening, but maybe I and others need to do better at keeping the forum on topic and hold to some sort of standard.

But then again, there are plenty of other forums, Amiga.Org / amigans.net / English Amiga board eab, just to name a few to go to if anyone doesn’t like it here. That my two cent on the matter.
