Happy New Year! I still haven't got through the entirety of Die Hard this Christmas holiday despite it being on Freeview TV twice now! I had just enough space on my DigiBox PVR to record the end last night, so maybe tonight's the night that I finally 'feel' Christmassy while watching a film (the TV viewing award for giving me a Christmas feeling has already gone to Mortimer and Whitehouse: Gone Fishing)!

So which is the best Christmas film?

Does Christmas really not officially start for you until Hans Gruber falls from Nakatomi Plaza?

It's a fun poll for a fun and relaxed time of year! By all means comment if your favourite has been left off the poll selection. The major omissions are Santa Claus the Movie and Miracle on 42nd Street IMHO! I'm also partial to a bit of Dark Crystal or The Secret of NIMH but that is probably just me!

If you want a fun recent film about Jesus' birth then watch the Sony Pictures animated film 'The Star' which has great voice over talent such as Oprah Winfrey (as Deborah the camel) and Steven Yeun (from Walking Dead fame as Bo the donkey).

@BigD

It's a wonderful life.

Yes, I am a hopeless optimist.

@Nimrod

That's a classic sentimentalist movie.
