Hi all. I just got a acer lsptop and thinking about using it as an aros laptop. But i have some questions. Will it run aros ? What classic software can i run on it. ( specificly imagefx dopus4) And what native aros x86 software is available?

There's only a way to understand if your laptop will support AROS: trying it.
As for the classic software, you can run 68K apps under emulation. The way emulation looks and works can be quite different depending on the AROS x86 distribution of choice. Here at Icaros Desktop we tried to make it as seamless and complete as possible, but things can always be improved. Please notice Icaros Live! version will provide most of existing AROS software, although some programs might be now outdated.
I managed to install Icaros Desktop 2.3 XMAS Edition on a SiS Pentium IV.. but the Sounblaster Live 5.1 or something makes AROS crash on playing Test Sound in AHI! AC`97 works but has a Sound glitch.. I will go into my Man Cave and test on.. maybe I will burn a AROS One DVD and install it on the 2nd Hard Disk and test Soundblaster Live 5.1 again!
I`ll make a AROS SMP Test run again on Core i5s!

With AROS Nightlys on you can't create a Live Pendrive, you can only do this with Icaros and AROS One from a special script you can find on the two distributions.
After you have installed AROS One let me know if the audio works fine, if the problem persists we will report it to deadwood
What programme are you using for audio tests, what music formats?
