Why spoil the fun? And should *I* be the one seperating those views? And why do these incredible figures only show up in the 'Documentation Wiki' and not so much in other parts of the site? Can a 'bot' be so smart as to figure out which threads to plough through and which ones not? It's makes as much sense as trying to sell roasted pig in Mecca during Ramadan.

You are the one making multiple threads about how awesomely alive the place is on the basis there are so many views. You don't think that you might want to understand those numbers better first?
There are way more bots these days than you might think, way more than the obvious search engine ones, many have sprang up since the advent of LLM. And there are several specialised ones that are extremely interested in code and documentation about code.
So, as for why a technical documentation wiki might be more indexed by a LLM bot that than a thread, well, I can't imagine. Last edited by Karlos on 21-Dec-2023 at 11:32 PM.

Well if you want a more on-topic expression of absurdity...
Or like, making new PPC hardware in 2023/24, that was designed in 2014, using an FPU that's incompatible with the standard that the OS and application have used forever.

Some 'bot' is feasting on the forum's content. It's not real traffic.
When I first started noticing this weird behaviour, end of November, 2023, there were only 5 of the 25 threads having exceeded the 10k-mark. Now, a mere 3 months later, there are only 5 left that have NOT (yet) exceeded said mark and in a few days time, I reckon there will only be 2 or 3 left.
At the end of november the very first thread on the forum had not even reached 1200 views, 1196 to be precise, while it is now reaching a whopping near 107k, a near 90-fold increase.
