but how many personal boxes does a computer have to tick to be an amiga -- and lest that be unclear, I mean as 'amiga' as the amiga 1000, 500, 1200 etcetera were.

The continuum I suppose would be:
1 : only A1000 is a true amiga experience.
10 : Any computer at any point in time running 'an amiga experience' is an amiga.
100 : Both of the above bet u didn't think of that.

My Amiga 3000D Turned to dust a long time ago. So now I use a MisterFPGA and WinUAE Amiga Forever for my Amiga fix running AOS 3.2.2.1. I recently purchased a Greasweazle drive and the experience is complete. I install stuff from floppy when possible, otherwise I download with iBrowse 3. I support software development by buying their stuff and on Patreon. To me this is an Amiga.
