Even A600GS is not my cup of tea, I amazed that AEON-AmiKit for first time
seem to have a long term software update plan, that actually brings more
productivity, games and functionality on the table!

This way it in the end might be better product then Amiga Mini, kudos for good
planning and execution this time!

46.1.806 (30.08.2024):

A600GS:
* The restore from internal defaults function now works.
* Now avoids deleting / overwriting settings when saving / restoring the installed Games and Apps, (existing backups may contain setting data).

AmiBench:

Add latest C commands:
* Type v46.0 added: has all standard options including MULTI handle multi-assigns
* Dir v46.9 updated
* List v46.20 updated
* AddDataTypes v46.11 was improved quite a bit and can now also give datatype usage information with the “STATS� option.
* AddBuffers v46.7 can set the buffers of multiple DOS devices using special syntax.
* Rename v46.10 is now able to relabel volumes and can also modify file comments.
* Version v46.17 can use wildcard patterns which must be a first for OS3. For example you can use: “Version c:#?� to display the version number of all commands in C: CRC64 checksums can also be displayed now.
* WBRun v46.5 can now use wbstart.library in order to function with DOpus Magellan, and also had a missing semaphore added.

* OpenURL v7.18 added

* Directory Opus 4 font sizes increased

Programs:
* Updated HippoPlayer to version 2.61

Games and Apps:

* Super Skid Marks added

So making Relabel and FileNote redundant? Why? For what goal? Were they broken? Is Protect next? Doesn’t this just makes the code of Rename more complicated to maintain?

Arm Graphics Library:
Implement line drawing functionality accelerating graphics rendering on Amibench and other applications.

ROM:
Patch p96gfx_hidd to use the above accelerated line drawing


A600GS:
The update confirmation requester could get locked into disabled state after usage in previous session. Now always creates a fresh requester object at the start of each update session

Rename "DB9 Left Joystick" as "DB9 Joystick 1" and "DB9 Right Joystick" as "DB Joystick 2" for greater clarity and consistency with labelling on casing.

Fix some edit window undo bugs.

AmiBerry:
If AmiBerry had not been run the post install script would fail when it attempted to copy to the Amiberry home directory. Now checks for directory before copying.

Our developer has been working on the MultiView problem this last week. I am pleased to confirm he has solved the issue. PNG and JPEG images are displaying in MultiView now without any problems!

Our new Picture Datatype Class v46.15 will be available in the next update this coming week.

Our in house developer has spent the last 10 days working on porting YAM email client to the A600GS.

There were some lockup bugs in Zune and YAM itself with timers that took some days to diagnose and fix. These are now resolved and YAM is working well.

The latest 2.10 version for the A600GS supports AmiSSL 5.17 - which is preinstalled in AmiBench.

A600GS:

Add advance section to the updates area, that allows selective updating / reinstalling of the most recent updates. The default method is preferred for more efficient update, but the extra control will allow fixing problems and reinstalling accidentally deleted component updates

Under some situations the inserted USB sticks and drives might not appear in AmiBench, now we force a refresh of the USB data before each restart of AmiBench.

AmiBerry:

* Ensure the libfloppybridge plugin is installed
* Update 'builtin' AROS roms to latest source on Deadwood branch

Here a question, will Amistore be available for other platform, ie not just a current OS4 version and a built in Amibench one, but one for just 68K platform.

I feel like there should also be a web browser based version.

It might also be wise to integrate a filter in Amistore that user could toggle to just display things that are designed for AmigaOS4, AmigaOs3, Amibench, Media. As an example.

plus I think also Amiga media should be on here more, I know a little bits on there but it would be cool if you could buy say Amiga Films like Viva Amiga, Amiga mp3 music that you could get permission to sell on here, maybe even pdf books like Vultures To Vampires, Amiga Magazine, like Future Amiga / Amiga Active to sell PDF on there, it just a idea and I know it also be kinda up to third party to sign up to your term and conditions, but it be nice if a one stop shop for all thing Amiga digital could be setup.

The new Time Gadget Class v46.33 code has been restructured by our developer. It also features a work around for random corruption reported under AROS Intuition.

The new version work well and will feature in the next AmiBench public update:



There is also a new v54.33 version that will feature for PPC machines via the next Enhancer Software update.

This week our developer is working on AmiBench enhancements. The antialiased text will be rendered through the Arm Graphics Library instead of slower 68k code. We hope to progressively convert more 68k functions across to native ARM code to boost AmiBench graphics performance.
