As I said I sent it to my dealer (GGS-Data). I thought I had tried everything so I didn´t think they would solve it easily. Somehow they managed to make it work so now it´s time for som dancing bananas. and some of these:

I don´t exacly know what was wrong but maybe it had something to do with overheating as they have changed the heatsink and the fan.

Well, if you tell me what you are smoking then we might be able to explain it, since they are a dancing away from here.

Also, I would highly recommend making a backup copy of your CD, especially since you already have a scratch on it. I've made backups of everything I've ever had on my Amigas, since they are usually hard to come by where I live. There used to be a local dealer within an hours drive, but they have since closed up so it's mail order only now.

In fact I still have all those disk images I made of my old Amiga programs from years gone by on my Amiga HD (now a hard disk image file for WinUAE) that I plan on moving over to the A1 once I get OS4.

It only takes losing ONE program/disk that you REALLY NEED to realise in hindsight that you should have made a backup.

@Niolator

I've had that problem as well with animated GIFs. They just stop animating for no apparent reason. It's even happened to my avatar a few times.

@DWolfman

I guess you´re right about the backups. I´ll do that right away.

About the banananas: That was obviously a temporary problem and had nothing do with anything I smoke. Now they are dancing just fine.

Strange , I also have them sometimes dancing, sometimes not. Picky bunch, those bananas

Anyway, good to hear your machine is working. Would be interesting to know what it actually was, so if you can find out some time, please let me know. It might help other people as well...

@shoe

Well, I guess I got a "package" price. The cooler was included in the total amount. Gunne is a little secretive about what he actually did. But if I keep asking him he might tell me, as soon as I know what it was I´ll post it here.

Maybe he doesn´t know either.
He just changed the fan and cooler and voila.

Glad to hear it works.
