@poweramiga2002

As Toaks said. Or simply bring down the console and write (for example):
name PowerAmiga2oo2

@all
Ask if you need to use mouse or special function like nextweapons/prevweapons with mouse ecc

To have a crosshari write in console or in autoexec.cfg:
crosshair 1

@cap

Simply write in the QuakeWorld console:
connect sun.hasenbraten.de:27500

You can copy and past from the OS.

Yes that is what i tried but all it said was "connecting" on and on.

I thought perhaps i had misread the address till it worked with qgui.

I can't get sound to work.
How do I get sound to work? It's really hard to play without sound because I can't hear when ppl are getting near and when they and I shoot etc.

@Deniil715

You don't need any more configurations.

Do you have sound in Quake?

I can't even run the thing... complains that it can't find bsdsocket...
Quote:
Error: NET_Init: Can't get bsdsocket interface

I'm using Miami, which could most probably be the problem here...

Cool, I thought I had ported this one, after I ported quake2 but som memory things weren't properly (q2), the gameplay itself worked though. QW worked for my ADSL line at least in contrary to my q1 port for os4 which I think used old non-NAT friendly code. I didn't remember making the GPL source available though... maybe someone else ported it? Which is cool anyway ;)

Very quiet in the Frank's server today, too. Had some action with couple of players but then the server threw me into another map (why?) and I was all alone again

Must confess I am a bit new to this QuakeWorld thing but I enjoyed the game. There really should be more players on the server... so at what time do people here tend to go there?

@GrumpyOldMan

I've had some fun too. Even won a couple of rounds. After a "round" is finnished a new one is loaded looking different, ie a new "map". That might've been what you meant.
