Fabulous work!
@Toaks
Great DOpus tip - never thought I could use that as a alternate gui Now I have configured MPlayer to run from it, and plan to do the same to AMP2 and MoovidPPC...oh that feeling of power having things happening with just one click

| Will look at code and try to fix/add stuff from the hard work of afxgroup.
BUT, I'm currently in Oslo working for Opera Software so I don't have my XE around, so it would be a bit hard to test the changes. Luckily I've got some beta tester slaves to test things with (hi Toaks).
I _am_ however planning on scrapping some money together and get a microA1 from the nice people at gurumediatation.se, it's only a 4 hr ride with bus to go and pick it up.
This might take a while though, so if there are any AmigaOne owners in the area which could lend me the computer that could work too ;)

Can't speak for Troll, but at least I try to use the gui provided with program first...but if there is no gui, I make a script for running the program from AmiDock...
As for Magellan (II) - I could not agree with you any more. I have had it in WBR mode as the main GUI in my A1200 for years and it is truly great. But right now I am quite happy with OS4 WorkBench and Dopus...

| Great movie player! Congratulations to the creators.
At first, it was working at all, but after reading the advice given here, it's running marvelously. It plays 95% of the things I throw at it! :)
Two little questions, though:
1-how do I quit audio-only files? Pressing ESC only works for video... 2-how do I play full-screen? Using -fs doesn't seem to work. I'd like it to open on the best mode, sort of like AMP2,but so far only managed to play on a window.

As for subtitles working - I don't know, have not tried any DVDs yet. Not sure what MPlayer needs to support them.

| @All,
How do you change the a1ide.device and unit number? Is there an option or is it something in the config file?
Cheers, Bean.

I have put -vo cgx_vmem::ALWAYSBORDER in the conf/config file but I get this from MPlayer:
Shell> mplayer "Diverse:Serier/Oggy/Oggy - Fame and glory.mpeg" MPlayer - 1.0pre4 (C) 2000-2004 MPlayer Team
CPU: PowerPC Reading config file PROGDIR:conf/mplayer.conf: No such file or directory Reading config file PROGDIR:conf/config Option -vo needs a parameter at line 2 ***Command 'mplayer' returned with unfreed signals 40000000!
About the signal. If it is never freed on exit, you can just free it manually: IExec->FreeSignal(30); I did this with a program OS4 claimed left a signal behind which I cound't find.
@amipal
About bsdsocket.library: Are you online when you try MPlayer? bsdsocket.library is created on the fly by any AmiTCP compatible TCP/IP-stack when you get online. You might not need to be connected. Untick "Down when offline" in Miami to make bsdsocket stay in memory even if you are not connected. _________________ - Don't get fooled by my avatar, I'm not like that (anymore, mostly... maybe only sometimes) > Amiga Classic and OS4 developer for OnyxSoft. |

I tried setting the stack to 500000 and using wma, but now I get a failure Error opening/initializing the selected video out (-vo) device.
Using the vmem just locks up the cli, no matter how large the stack, after the FATAL error to initialize video driver message.
Any other ideas?

Could this happen when running Miami instead of Roadshow I wonder? |
Yes, you would need the .l.main stub file for Miami (accessing 68k library from PPS program), don't know if such a thing exists.
