Looks great! Too bad I don't own any A1200's. I have several A4000's that I would buy this for, however....bring it on for A4000 and A4000T :)

Oh, I should mention...keep in mind many of us have Mediators so some kind of pass-thru for a single monitor connection would be very nice.

For me most of the "pain in the ass" of not having a flicker fixer/scan doubler is not being able to see the early startup.

I see it supports genlocks but will/does the A4000 version work with the video toaster.

I am also interested in an A4000 version.
My concern is if it will physically fit in an A4000 that uses the Mediator.

As you mention, a pass-through or switching for a VGA signal from a PCI card would be nice, but I would want one regardless.

It does not fit in any other computer than the A1200. On the 4000D, the Zorro daughtercard is in the way, on the CD32, it would stick out the case, and it supposedly does not fit in an A4000T either (I don't own one).

The LISA-Socket will have to be rotated and the shape of the PCB adapted to those computers. My main target will be the 4000D, then make sure it'll also fit the 4000T (should be easily possible), and then I can only pray that the CD32 won't need a special version on it's own.

I think that it's kind of funny that the flicker-fixer has 8x the memory of the AGA chipset. I wonder if it could be reprogrammed to offer 16-bit chunky graphics, etc...

Hi Jens, sounds great (about A4000). If possible it should fit around the Mediator bus board...as many of us A4000(T) users have those installed...

good finally i can replace my 15-31hz flicker switcher... there is nearly no monitor that support it anymore.. 60hz is the lowest standard today.......

I was a ZX Spectrum owner....

Slightly off-topic but still related to screenmodes...I was playing around with OS4 amiga screenmodes and with the overscan prefs...I had the "VGA" monitor activated and was using the "multiscan" screenmode which works okay with my monitor in OS4 workbench...but when I go to overscan in OS4 and i pick "multiscan" to adjust, it is out of range on my monitor and so I got a blank screen. Then after rebooting, still in OS4, I went to my old OS3.9 overscan prefs, it works! No blank screen...

So OS4 overscan prefs for "multiscan" is using some freq. lower (pre-VGA setting) versus the actual one set in screenmode prefs is high cause it is using post-VGA monitor setting ?

Also noticed that in OS4 "Productivity Double" seems to be actually half in the vertical resolution versus the regular "Productivity" mode. "Double" shows 640x240 versus 640x480 for regular. Horz/vert. freq. are the same...is this a bug?

This is fantastic news, and I intend to purchase one! As has already been posted, a passthrough for RTG cards would be nice and personally I'd be willing to pay that extra bit for it.

Also, will this fit in with my ELBOX FastATA 1200 MKIII?

It's a pity that they could not design one that works with most computers (rather than one albeit popular model of Amiga). Does it really need access to the video chip to manage more than just doubling the refresh rate? e.g. Wouldn't it be possible to have a "scan tripler" that just plugged into a video output?
