This is a great news and a good initiative to give to know to the big public that there is other altenative to current operative systems, and more when we have a long history and much software classic but also recient.

i think we need java, flash and some other stuff to get interested people :)

My understanding is babelfish only works with web sites, and not pdf files.

if you look at the two links provided, one is the article in pdf format, the other is a link to the magazines web site.

I've read this now and I can tell you that the article tells ppl out there what we amigans allready knew. So no surprise here.
But the tone is quite positive and it's a well written article. I like to see more of that.

As it is right now, for most people it will not be a real alternative. But to old amigans it could be a nice second system. Meanwhile it could evolve into a real alternative.

As Kicko says it will need Java, Flash to become really interesting for most people. Also some more productivity applications and some games wouldn't hurt.

Nice to see that in less than 2 years already 2 articles about our favourite OS has been written :)

Maybe, when an office suite is avaible (I mean native OS4) more people would be interested. Of course if the developpement of support for flash and java is done (and followed) I think that we all of us would be able to show the Amiga as a real alternative.

Now what would be nice is also adventure/RPG games and port of other games like Knight and Merchants (made for Morphos...)...

There is one slight problem though, curious readers might go to AmigaScene.nl, where they will see almost no mention of Amiga OS 4.1. The Amiga OS 4.x software and hardware sections haven't had a single post since December 2008, and the other Amiga OS 4.x section hasn't seen any action in a month.

From a quick glance, it would be easy to think that it's a site for the Classic Amiga.

Well, given the fact that only since September 2008 we have had new hardware, I think it is not a bad feat at all to evenhave such wonderful articles to begin with.

Now in future, with future hardware and future development, I am sure Amiga OS may actually have a chance to get bigger.
