| Good to see another update.
But I still have to go back to OWB1. (Or rollback my current OWB2 but I like to use newer versions when I can.) The listview popups are still not working in this version. This is hard to report as so far I've only seen it happen on my ISP site so you need to be using my ISP to test!
Other popups work. |

| Thanks Joerg.
Thanks for fixing my bugs. Now i can upload stuff on sprend again and pictures on facebook. Only thing i dont like with OWB is that after some time of usage it gets stuck on facebook. Like its loading something but doesnt finish. So i have to quit and rerun. Its like it waits for something and because of that all other pages is blocked waiting for facebook to finish loading.
I hope its less crashy then previous version. Time will tell.
Thanks again. |

I think that I've occasionally seen similar behaviour on other sites (don't use facebook).
BTW, totally unrelated, but I'm getting kind of sick seeing some fat woman on the front page of AW.net :-/ . With Firefox I would be able to block that particular picture...Last edited by ChrisH on 21-Nov-2009 at 02:27 PM.

That sounds really obvious but I can't see one here! There are no boobs on the front page again here! |

It's not like it's hard to add a content blocker to OWB. I did it, so can joerg. |

I reported a similar problem with a UtilityBase page not long ago. When I checked the same page with IBrowse, I was able to see that one of the images on the page was linked to a file on a different server that was down at the time. IBrowse uses multiple channels to D/L files so it was able to display the page without the stuck image. Eventually, RoadShow would time-out on the image access leaving an error image on the page instead of the intended image. The next time your "stuck" problem occurs, you might try leaving OWB on the page to see if RoadShow will time-out on a stuck file. I'm not sure what the default RoadShow time-out is, but it appears to be at least several minutes on my system. _________________ X1000 with 2GB memory & OS4.1FE

Why don't you send him your diffs so he can add it to the OS4 version then? What is the point of two developers in the Amiga scene doing the same work twice? |

Cool, where can we access it? I guess the GUI parts would have to be rewritten for the OS4 port which uses Reaction, but the rest could be used, is this correct? |

| @Xenic, stuck on an image from a down server.
I keep seeing this all over the place with web browsers, Linux and Windows ones, Firefox, Opera etc.
Um.. What happened to Amigas use of Asynchronouse Multitasking?
Why should waiting for a given packet of data for a given file, cause the machine to stall for anything longer than its maximum quantum, about 1 millisecond? If the image data is late or slow, shouldnt other data from other sources be coming in through the network connection in the meantime?
Im sorry.. just that, because of the severe lack of resources available to AOS coders, and the sheer junk and bloat in commonly availble routines, apparently we have to loose some of the philosophy of AOS, in order to be able to afford any at all.
I hope that with things turning better as they are, this movement can eventually be reversed, and the user ends up being served, and even assisted by the machine, by design, instead of by accident. _________________ The older and more respected a scientist is, the longer it takes to prove him wrong.

| I keep finding my text cursor disappearing, it seems to come and go, it's working in this text field, but not the google search bar.
Odd. I wonder when we'll get 'open link in a background tab'? Maybe I should put a request in at OSdepot? _________________ Rage quited 29th May 2011

I have had this experience on a number of sites. One used to be RealClimate which took forever to load any page. They changed their software so that problems went away. I have not identified what the issue may be. Sometimes I just go and have breakfast or something and eventually find the page loaded. I've been suspicious that it may be due to lack of java and the inability to load java applets, usually we get past flash , but on other sites I'm not held up by java applets so I have no idea what it is. Currently the site that gives me the most problems, not on the first page, nor on all pages but on quite a few is: http://www.nzherald.co.nz I currently get stuck for some time on the Environment page.
